Hello, I'm new.
Before you start flaming me, please remember when you were a noob and wanted info 
Anyways, I come here from Alliance of Valiant Arms, and I was wondering what made this game fun and interesting.
From what I've seen, no offense, but this looks like a bad crossover of all the FPS games you can think of.
For example, I see mutation mode, which is like Combat Arms' infections (Unless CA copied, in which case never mind)
So yeah, it'd be helpful if you could tell me some general newbie tips and crap like that. I have 125 more MB to download, and I can't wait

I have tried combat arms, have to say CF is a cop-ganster game, not a military game, so 100% of the time, you are either indoors or in urban territory, at least in combat arms, you feel like being in a WAR, and ppls are more camouflaged and harder to see.

Okay, so here are a few tips for ya:
1. DON'T buy any gun before you can buy a Desert Eagle. Trust me, just don't.
2. DON'T use Black Market before you have a Primary/Secondary/Knife/Nade combo.
3. DON'T try to get out of rookie server before Sargeant rank. You will be mowed down in pieces before you know.
4. DO play E.M. (Elimination) in Alaska and CrossRoads. Those will let you get used to a couple of guns.
5. DO play N.M. (Mutation Mode) because you won't have to repair any weapon (more GP) and because those don't count on your K/D so you can practice shooting.
6. DON'T EVER call someone a hacker, even if you're sure he is. If he really hacks, get out of the game, but don't hackusate as it might be a legit player.
7. DO whisper me in game if you want to try out weapons and fuzz. I have lots of those. -
The main reason why I like Crossfire is because there's really nothing that can make you want to kill a small animal over frustration like other games can. No noob tubes, small explosion radius grenades, non overpowered melee (MW2 anyone?), guns that kill in one headshot but 4 hits otherwise that make spamming ineffective and aiming actually worthwhile, recoil on guns (unlike in fing MW2...) so you have to control your shots, camping and spawn camping is virtually non-existent, and this is just to name a few. Of course there are some glitchers and hackers, but any game has them, and at least in Crossfire it's very easy to either kick them or join a new game on a map that you like. Also, there are modes for any style of play that you want, weather it's a no respawning Search and Destroy, a 3 second respawn 20 minute TD killing spree, or just a laid back game of Mutation Mode, CF has you covered. Also, there really aren't any overpowered guns unlike most FPS, even someone that just starts out and buys an M4 is at an almost equal playing field as the guy that buys 20k ZP every week and has all the black market guns. Also, there's no way to regenerate health, so if you shoot someone with a sniper rifle and get them down to 10 HP, they're not going to be able to come back with full health in a couple seconds. (Like in mother fing MW2 O.o) Yeah, the graphics aren't the best, but the gameplay really is unparalleled in my opinion.

Life, you know that some people just CAN'T use this gun? (I'm one exemple. Can't stand reg M4. Although my main is M4-C) so yeah, he'd better first figure out wich gun he prefers, and THAN go buy it.when you first get a gun grab m4a1, it will last u till your high enough for a diff gun

Welome and if you ask me what makes this game unique i'd point two energetic fingers in GM's (ghost mode) direction which is not in any other fps i know of.

Mostly i play west coast and many know me there. If you want any tips feel free find me there xD
(west coast is small town compared to the other servers so it wouldn't be hard to find me lol)
Also a good way to learn is to go to the guides section of the forums a lot of good stuff there. -
Hi, play AVA as well and honestly, Crossfire is the superior game. Be warned though that the graphics will look like **** after playing AVA. As somebody said earlier, this game has alot of modes that will suit a variety of players. For example, some ppl play ghost or mutation exclusively. Also the clan system is great and starting a clan match is quick and easy.

I've tried A.V.A. twice now, still have it installed. First time was about a month ago and the lagg for me was horrific. Tried it a second time a few days ago and the lagg for me wasn't any better even in the white ping only rooms. Never did take the time to figure out how to know my actual ping.
Here you can see your ping very easily and if your under 150 which is very high for most fps is considered good and you can actually play well.
Granted though the Br's have a serious influx of players here and finding rooms that are not dominated by them can be a challenge if not impossible at times. They tend to ping 150-300 and can easily zap the fun out of a game with their lag and other things you will soon discover about them.
Wouldn't buy a lot of zip at first. If you have access to a second pc you can roll some rookies to try all the good free guns at first to see what fits your play style. Other than that have fun and brush up own your spanish.

When I first started I though CF was the crappiest game ever. The graphics are choppy, the hackers were rampant, and anyone above Sargent was god to me. Now I'm addicted. 0_oclodhopper wrote: »Hello,
