Lol. Let me say this differently. YOU CAN'T. .rez files are compressed files of different data used to piece together maps, HUD, and characters/interactions. Taking out these files will corrupt your Crossfire. Trying to figure them out will possibly fry your computer if you don't know what you are doing. I know what I am doing, Changing a gun sound file -
Here's what I'll do
Example!
Spop sound is
Spop_Sound.dunno
Swat sound is
Swat_Sound.dunno
Now inside Spops will be let's say...
pwnurmom
And inside Swat is
pwnurdog
Now I want spop sound in swat so what'll I will do is COPY! From spop and paste the BMG into the swat -
The gun should I believe is compressed with different files. That is why the REZ files are big in size.
RB001.rez is an example. Now edit this. Exactly, not easily editable, you have to have a specific software to edit those.

Makes sense. But could you stop with the ignorant remarks? What you have to realize is that it takes TEAMS to code and decode these complex games. I'm not saying this game is complex, because it isn't (in my experience), but it's complex enough to keep a 12 year old away from the gun sounds.IlikeToPooPoo wrote: »Who said I' wear pant's? -

OMG that`s a very good Idea . You know what ?
When you finish changing the sound of a specific gun then change also the power and the recoil value also . Oups I would forget the Zoom from one gun to another .

If you could edit Rez files, people would change the footstep magnitude, the visibility of ghosts (ghosts run around 100% visible) and they could put a colour to a character(chams).
Your basic hacks right there.
Also, I would be able add:
Crosshairs on a sniper
Scopes on any gun
Manipulate things
etc.
