BodyBuilding or Fitness?

hey guys a need some help i ive done almost 2years of bodybulding and i just notice a little diference on my body i only get fat :S so is it the fitness good? i just wanna have a great and simple muscles i dont wanna become like Batista or something like that.

    ya i will do that Fitness :) im tired of Bodybuilding on Bodybuilding you waste lots of money on protein and other stuffs some of my friends take Steroids -.-
  • Body building and you only get fat? lol how is that even possible? you must have a really poor diet or something if you get fat while body building :/

    I fitness.. only cause I need excersize and cause I am getting a little bit (to) fat :p
    Fitness is cool Bodybuilding just sounds for unsecure people (not saying that you are unsecure) dunno always found it scary and weird haha was funny though on guy always bragging about that he bodybuilds one day whe get in a fight I hold him back with one hand :D

    body building doesnt help build your metabolism, so its easy to gain weight (fat), if you are going to be a body builder you have to have a strict diet, example: a dry salad(without dressing)
    fitness raises your metabolism rapidly, and you can go home and eat pizza if you wanted..
    I used to be 300lbs, when i started my fitness training, i started with walking a mile at 4.0mph
    (20 mins or so a mile) then moving to low weight bench presses, around 100 lbs, and about 50 reps, if possible, then leg lifts, curling, pectoral workouts, and ab workouts, all with free weights.. since you've been bodybuilding the passed 2 years, you should beable to work out with more weight than i started with, and maybe 2 miles on a treadmill or around the block..
    I kept eating the same, breakfast, lunch, and dinner + snacks, dropped to 235 in 4 months, and was able to run 2 miles, bench press 295, leg lift 600.. without getting sore the next day, over the next month i only dropped down to 230, but my muscle mass was growing, and when i started i had to have atleast 8 hours of sleep to go through the day, I can sleep maybe 5-6 hours and go 18-19 hours awake before i get tired..

    and to get an idea of what I eat, for breakfast I usually have 3 eggs with cheese, 3 pieces of bacon or sausage, 2 pieces of toast, some days ill add pancakes to that.. milk, or orange juice

    lunch, foot long sub sandwich, chips, and a soda, (or yesterdays leftovers)

    dinner, a whole medium (pizza hut) pizza, pepperoni, extra cheese, and bacon, or other food equal too the mass of a medium pizza..

    some nights ill snack on chips, ice cream, cereal, or other type of late night snack foods.

    so yeah, I eat like a horse and I never gain weight..

    I'm at 220 right now, I have plenty of muscle tone on my arms and legs, but me being 300 lbs before, sad to say my abs will never show.

    Edit: Oh yeah and with body building, you need to take all sorts of vitamins, and supplements...
    my opinion is body building is never a good weight loss program, because its mainly used for show, hense body building contests, pseudo wrestling, etc.

    =) Muscles arent everything BodyBuilding Becomes Boring year after year you are the same, since you started. The changes i feeled(spelled Wrong) was Chest Legs Sholders Biceps, a little :S BodyBuilding its for nerd peoples and i was a one -.- all guys Take steroids Suplements it's a waste of money i prefer buying zp.
  • Damn harsh, I used to do weights but came down to lifting only twice a week after I reached 19, I noticed a difference after about 3 weeks of doin em lol, now I only ride BMX and that keeps my stamina pretty high and works out the upper body too.
  • are you one of those guys that says i'm going to the gym so i can eat all i want?
