This is probably a stupid question.....
but I dont care. Are the sound settings for Crossfire done solely through the PC/laptop sound card, part of the online game settings or a mixture of both?
The reason I'm asking is that I had a cheap and nasty set of headphones and I was able to pinpoint in GM with them with no problems (except for the hackusations).
I updated to Windows 7 before christmas and then my old set broke.
I eventually got a Logitech premium headset and now all I hear is Darth Vader all around me and occasionally knowing when it's on the right or left but I cant pinpoint anymore.
Does anyone know how to change the sound settings so I can increase the treble and cut the bass? I've looked through the sound settings on my laptop and I cant find anything that gets the settings the way they used to sound. I've got Realtek HD audio manager plus the usual windows stuff.
PS. Flame if you want, I was just hoping that someone in the community would be kind enough to either help me or point me in the right direction.

You dont have any settings in your Realktek HD audio manager about sound and treble??
Maybe there's a 3rd party program that could do it..
Realtek only has a treble setting but the bass is still too deep...any ideas on where I could find a 3rd party programme? -
I have realtek and I can change the sound the way I want it . there is a good equalizer on it so , how hell you can`t do that ?Realtek only has a treble setting but the bass is still too deep...any ideas on where I could find a 3rd party programme? -

Thanks for the reply.
Is that the HD Audio Manager or a different one? I dont have an equalizer with mine. Would be great if it did.
Think I'll have a search for it.
