We don't need another Scar... And the Tar21, M4A1, AWM XM8 are all modern riflles. Kriss, and MP7 are modern too.

um yeah... anyway... guns look like the SCAR nowadays because it's a visually-appealing and efficient shape that can support most rifle calibers up to 7.62X51mm NATO.

plus, it's small and compact, lowering weight and therefore enabling soldiers to fight longer
