God popping outta nowhere saying "let there be light" isn't randomness?
ummm....GOd was always there.......and how is that randomness...all i said was that if there is creation, there has to be a creator, science cannot explain everything, BUT it is very useful....but not everything..... -
Do the research yourself. Don't make people do your work. Maybe because you didn't look into it for crap is why you believe in such simple things as Noah's ark. Also spongebob is a reality show that is filmed under the sea.
sigh....why don't u do the research on why Creationism is true......take a look at both sides...i do it all the time....thats why debating helps....u have to make sure the evidence is foolproof.... -

Do you have proof he was always there though? -

who created god? -
Logic can only get you so farI'm just saying what I believe to be true, and no I'm not a Christian. The truth is what is, not what should be or you wish it was. Let science do its work and we'll have an answer based off science, rather than a hypothesis. Saying you're 99 percent sure like that man did shows how dumb he actually is. Just logically think in your head of the story of Noah's ark, if you can believe that, you can believe in anything. -
This will be my last post on this thread but I would suggest that you ALL watch this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34-1W_9BhoU
Carl Sagan has wrote books on such topics, the demon haunted world, science as a candle in the dark....good book.
The Description:From Youtube Video wrote:You can always ask "well then what happened before that?" The god hypothesis explains absolutely nothing; it gets us no closer to an answer. It's just a continuation of the same infinitely regressing line of questions.
Thank you. -
Choices are a rope. We can climb the rope to success, or we can hang ourselves with the ropeDillaDonuts wrote: »Requested this thread be closed.
Religious debates are idiotic, for it's your choice for what you believe.
Someone else trying to say otherwise is a fool. -
by very definition, an eternal Being has always existed—nobody created Him. God is the Self-Existent One—the great “I Am” of the Bible. He is outside time; in fact, He created time. Think about it this way: everything that has a beginning requires a cause. The universe has a beginning and therefore requires a cause. But God has no beginning since He is beyond time. So God does not need a cause. There is nothing illogical about an eternal Being who has always existed even though it might be difficult to fully understand.

Why are they idiotic?
They get your beliefs out.
You get the chance to defend what you believe to be true.
It's a learning experience.
I mean maybe this wasn't the thread to do it in, but still. -
we aren't learning anything through this. We all are too thick headed to truely listen to each other. Why are they idiotic?

To an extent yes.
In my posts I didn't say I don't believe in god.
While it's true I choose not to follow any religion I don't straight up bash it.
I do believe there's something greater, but I'd like proof.
I'd like to be swayed to believe in something.
Both sides have huge holes in their stories but it's fun to hear what people have to say. -

every enemy will find a hole in something....whether the hole was fabricated or is real is what we are trying to debate about.... -
just allow me to say one thing.
We are human, therefore we are imperfect. We don't know all the mysteries of science, nor can we comprehend the properties of God. Most Religions have a part of what is true, and science has told us many things. But most religions are wrong in many ways, and we have disproved our own scientific laws. We cannot base all our beliefs in one side or the other, because we will only be getting a part of the information we need. -

True.
But that doesn't mean debating isn't fun or useless.
Nobody said it got anything done.
What you're debating are your beliefs.
That's the point, right?
I mean, we have the ability to have opinions and think freely.
Why not utilize those abilities? -
