Elite Mod for the Vote Kicking solution
I have posted this before, I just hope this time I can get some feedback
As a victim of random unfair kickings, I understand the frustration that comes with it. My husband plays another FPS game that has vote kicking system, but also has this thing called Elite Moderator.
An Elite Moderator is a person paid 10-15 dollars to have the ability to kick whoever they want during that game for a certain period of time (about a month or two). Anyway So here is what happens... When you create a room while being an elite mod, you have the Joys of not being able to be kicked. Also you have to ability to kick anyone in the room no matter what side they are on no vote involved. After said person was kicked, the room votes whether it was a good call or a bad call for kicking them. If a large group of players in the room disagree about the decision of kicking that person, the game master will not be able to use the Elite Moderator ability for 3 minutes. A player cannot be kicked during the first minute of game play and there must be at least 4 other players in order to kick someone.
There is also a color system that changes the players tag color when it comes to the room votes on righteous kicks or not. Green is that the mass majority of your kicks have been the right thing to do. Yellow is you are half right and half wrong. Red means your sucktacular and your kicks are not in the best judgement. So lets say there was a CF mark on the Elite Mod's name tag. Green is good.... Yellow is okay... Red means terribad needs to be stripped of the ability and not able to use it until further notice.
Now I know that this will most likely be abused by some just as the system we have now. You give people a little bit of power and they will run it into the ground. Anywho for the abuse side I would just recommend that no one venture to the rooms where elite mods are that have a history of being complete dbags hence the color codes and/or they can use the good call/bad call system to let you keep or strip you of this ability.
I do believe there also should be a certain rank that you should be before your able to buy Elite mod. That way the cute little Staff Sgts running around with SPOP accusing everyone and their mom of hacking when they die are not able to have this ability till they have played the game to get the sense of what Hackers really are.
Well boys and possibly other girls... thats my suggestion. I know the vote kick system sucks but they are not and will not take it away. maybe a few modifications here and there but doing away with it is not going to happen. Hopefully someone out there agrees with me on a system close to this... to actually protect the innocent good player from the real dbag hackers and noobs. Here's hoping

Well instead of just QQ about the vote kicking problem like 95% of you guys do, I gave a thought or a solution. It doesn't matter what game its from. Its a good system... and it will stop people from being kicked for no reason. its people like you guys that make this game impossible. oh and guess what nooblets... You don't have a say. So here is some tissues and some cheerios, if you do not have positive criticism to add then GTFO. I don't care if you do not like it, What gives you the right to be a dbag about it. simply say. I do not like this suggestion and this is why.
Oh and btw hun... Counter Strike (a FPS that has been out since before you were born) has basically the same thing... except no voting if they are doing the right thing... if a person in CS has admin they can insta kick you... no reason.... no warning BUh Bye..... See ya later.

Yeah and hence why CS is known for the most abusive admins and half the game being hacker paradise.
So yeah, there are also tons of GOOD suggestions out there, take a second to look around and support them instead of copying the most hated part of CS or CA. -
You idea is pretty much like V.I.P in CNCF but taking out the impossible to be kicked and ban thing. V.I.P user are people who pay a monthly fee to be above the normal users. They can kick any members on both team and get like something like 25% exp and gp bonus. Lets change your idea to this one?

congrats, you've edited this idea so that it is worse and that so when a whiney noob buys it, all hell will break loose!
Heck! Look at Xbox live. How many 14 yearolds can buy all the DLC for Gears of War AND keep up the 20 dollar a month monthly fee ON A GAME THEY SHOULDN'T BE PLAYING!! Now imagine them on this not really age restricted game! -
well, it was a good try and atleast, as you said, you gave it some thought and put forward your opinion instead of just screaming "CHANGE THE VOTE KICK SYSTEM!"
and honestly, i would love to see this in action. BUT, i would suggest that all of that suggestion be hacked off accept for the part where you pay money (aka. a ZP item) and you can't be kicked.
don't get me wrong, i would love to have a "Vote-Kick Repellant" ZP item or something, but those dang serveys...they'd make it so that any undeserving little noob could get it.
bottom line, if it weren't for zp serveys, i'd love to see an anti-kick zp item. -
I like parts of your suggestion and yes at least you are trying to offer up constructive suggestions to combat a problem that plagues many of its users on a daily basis. Ignore the morons that like you say, would rather be stupid and attack you rather than offer up constructive feedback, whether they agree or disagree. With the mentality that they demonstrate it would be logical to assume that some of these people are the same ones that most likely abuse the system to begin with.
Ive made the suggestion a while ago that there should be the ability for players that have attained a high enough rank, such as Second Lieutenant to be able to be unkickable room hosts. Also perhaps allowing them a certain number of kicks. I know there are enough decent, fair minded players that this system would thrive under. Im one of them.
I also know there would be some punks that get this high rank and unkickable room host status and would abuse it. I also offered up the suggestion of the other players being able to vote on the room host & have the results tallied somewhere for other players to review. I didnt think about having it color coded & have the results in game like that. I think that would greatly complement this idea. So for those unkickable room hosts that other players have played with that abused the system, they will be coded accordingly and most will know to stay away from that persons room.
Only thing, dont make it so one has to pay for this. Just make it so only the very high rank players can get this. Number one as Ive stated countless times, it is very very unlikely youll see any of these high ranked players using hacks themselves or glitching as they would not want to risk being reported and having their accounts banned that took them so long to achieve.
Now if theyre just punks in general & abuse this privilege then they will be branded as such and other players will know not to go to their rooms. There could also be some sort of a penalty implemented to further give incentive for these players to use it wisely such as when you get coded in the red too often your status is suspended for say a week or a month, then after that you get another chance to try again and if it keeps happening eventually you just get your status revoked.
I can see this type of system working greatly. It would alleviate the problems of good, honest players getting unfairly kicked, at least once theyve reached this high rank. -

why am I not surprised to see your trolling butt back here again. Because honestly.... how many suggestions have you torn apart. In all honest every post that you have posted is saying anyones Idea is stupid. Oh this is dumb because well I said so. And I really do not care. Have a great day.
Thank you to the rest of you who gave constructive criticism. Its appreciated. -
Huge issue here. The fact stands, even when I was Lt, I was still getting kicked on my other account. Rank and color codes do not matter, the immature whiners will whine, and you will be branded red (And therefore further proof you Hakz!) and have your rights revoked so quick your head will spin.TimStryker wrote: »I like parts of your suggestion and yes at least you are trying to offer up constructive suggestions to combat a problem that plagues many of its users on a daily basis. A better way will be to prominently show the number of reports filed against a player. Because, A player like me, who gets (Assuming a QUARTER of the people who claim they report me do so) 10 reports a week, would be able to point in game and say "See that 200 next to my name? That means 200 people have filed reports against me and I still have yet to be even suspended! Maybe that means I don't hack!"
This would make it so noob whiner votes would infact AID you, rather then impeding you. Remember, the issue isn't the sensible people. It is the whiney QQers who think half the time that a 1 hit kill with no HS from a stabbing knife is HAKZ!.
I wouldn't go as far as to make someone immune based on money, rank, or reports agaisnt them seeing as ANYONE can farm ads, farm EXP, or file false reports against themselves, or have fellow Mega Pathetic Game Hoes do it for them.
BUT what I DO also suggest alongside this, is give higher ranks the ability that they need 1 more vote to be kicked until eventually the ENTIRE room has to vote against them. They won't be immune to kicks, but highly resistent. At that, entrust the higher rank with more vote kicks so they can better help keep the rooms clean. -

I'm gonna say this in many diferent languages so you understand...
English: NO!
Spanish: NO! NO!
Chinese: NO! NO! NO!
Korean: NO! NO! NO! NO!
Latin: NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!
German: NAH! NAH! NAH! NAH! NAH! NAH!
French: NUPE! NUPE! NUPE! NUPE! NUPE! NUPE! NUPE!
Sorry, but the idea isn't the best. Paying someone to do a simple task like that is basicly paying a MOD to do their jobs on the forums. An they abuse their power enough as is, paying them would just be a bonus.
And like always the problem isn't the kick system, its the community itself, which is and prolly always will be like this. Like everyone says to someone who QQ's on these forums about being kicked.
Simple solutions:
A) Play with your friends
Play with your clan members
C) Play with both friends and clan members
D) Play in a locked room
E) Don't play at all -

To understand why this is a bad idea, look back to the old west. Scalping was considered an okay form of identifying that an outlaw had been killed. So what did bounty hunters go out and do? Kill entire wagon trains or villages and burn the evidence afterwards so they could turn in those innocent peoples scalps for easy money.
Money + Justice = Not a good idea. -

And you quoted me why? I said what you just said except mine was straight forward while yours was somewhat confusing till you read the whole thing. -
I think we do need a elite mod for this game. But have it only for second lts and up, so noobs with hacks that get this can do whatever they want. Ive played combat arms in the past and the elite mod is very usefull cause most of the people wont kik the hacker on their team cause they want to win! i hope cf gets this soon

You do realise that most the nubs in this game have high rankings like 2nd Lt. and up right? Ranking doesn't mean anything if you haven't noticed. -
I think the vote kick system we have would be fine if the community was not as bad as it is. I understand your pain, getting kicked over and over for nothing... But I think paying for a status to be able to kick others and not be able to be kicked doesn't seem fair to me. With the free surveys any 12 year old nerd boy would be able to buy it, and guess what it would be a kick fest... In my humble opinion the problem is simply on the community and not on the system. And that is something we can't change.
Also about CS, CS servers are not free like CF, obviously the owner can choose who he wants to play there or not :P -
Its a good idea, but as always has some flaws. Like anything new, it could be easily abused. One person pointed out that people (say of Captain rank or higher) are less likely to use hacks because they have worked so hard on their accounts) those people would be a decent choice for the elite MOD position. The problem can come up when they are lots of clan members playing a room together. They could virtually kick anyone for stupid reason and they could all vote (in a good manner) about that kick because they are in the same clan. It can be abused greatly, if this was to implemented, a limit like 2 max kick per game should also be put it.
I like the idea, but I highly doubt the GM's are even interested in this. -

these two...this is a great idea/build upon that idea. if there was any way to incorporate some form of these into CF, it'd be so great. while it may not be perfect in some way that i may have over-looked, it's a massive leap towards cleaning up the vote kick system. even if only part of it is do-able, it'd help a lot. but, rather than 2nd lieutenant being not kickable, it should be moved to 1st Lt., that way no one can (easily) farm up to that rank. Being a 2nd Lt myself, it's somewhat of a stab in my own back, but due to the fact that i still see a great deal of 2nd liuetenants whinning and rage kicking, it's a small sacrafice that i can deal with. cause i mean, heck, i've been dealing w/ it up till now, right? ;p
but, i'd rather see a mesh of these two ideas and not really one specific one chosen. keep in mind, this wouldn't "cure" the problem. it would, however, clean up this problem to a great degree

So PLEASE, if you see a long post, i heavily incourage you guys to read these, as they often contain very valuable insight, opinions, or suggestions. -

GoldenOe, thank you for your support & actually taking the time to read the posts. Its encouraging to see some words of wisdom & enlightenment coming from someone else on these forums on this issue besides just myself & a few others.
I realize there are a large number of kids that come here & they have other things on their mind besides reading through long posts & having an intellectual & intelligent conversation, but for the rest of us that are of a higher mentality, youre right these posts do contain great advice, opinions & suggestions, the problem is getting some of these people to open their eyes to read it & take the time to consider it.
With that being said I made my own thread combining some of my original ideas on this matter with using a voting system here http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=55371 & yes it is very long but I think it is one of the best & thorough ideas Ive seen suggested & does contain "very valuable insight, opinions, or suggestions"
To the OP, I hope you dont mind me posting this link if so let me or a mod know & have it removed. -

I was an admin for a group of servers in CS.
I had a lot of fun. No gravity. Teleporting people around the map for fun. Random invisible people. Funny colored people. Slapping people around while they were trying to kill people, haha. If I got all THOSE commands + The capability to kick idiots and not get kicked myself like I had in CS then I'd probably do it again.
The thing with CS is people run their OWN servers in the game and they choose their own admins. That's not how CF works. However I had to do an application to be an admin, I had peers/server owners that could remove my status if I abused it. CF could always do the same thing, allow them the status but also only if they perform their duties correctly and fairly.
Frankly it's a win-win for them, they'd get more money coming in plus have a free police force monitoring the game and keeping it fair. And possibly more fun if they did give us some fun commands. ;D
This could work nicely in tandem with part of Stryker's idea, just take the pay for admin + A voting system like he explains in the post that is (as of right now) next to this one.
You'd be judged for your decisions by all your peers. They could vote on how good or bad of an admin you are. If you are reviewed poorly as a pay to mini-admin you would go up for review by the real game administration and possibly have your status stripped. -

My favorite thing was when someone tk you you could turn them into a rocket... or a chicken
. No but i do agree with you. I really think that if people are given the opportunity to do something like an Elite Mod, the vote kick system would not be abused as much as it is right now. and if we can rate people.... it could help out alot. and Z8 gets more money... -

Oh yeah. We can have the system policed by decent people instead of all the cheating, whining children.
Mods! Admins! Whoever watches this stuff! I think we've come up with a democratically elected and amicable solution that most people are and will continue to agree with. Go ahead and put it in the game! ;D
If only. Haha... -
You do realise that most the nubs in this game have high rankings like 2nd Lt. and up right? Ranking doesn't mean anything if you haven't noticed.
Uh, ive only seen a few hackers with 2nd lt and up, but ive seen a ton with with smiley face and a little bigger rank than that.
