BSOD after BIOS upgrade (flash)

This morning I decided to flash my BIOS, because it was out-of-date. After that, it automatcally rebooted my PC.

After the reboot, the BIOS started OK and the XP Boot Screen appeared, but just for a sec. After that, a BSOD appeared and my PC rebooted.

Anytime I start the Windows, the BSOD appears. Then, I tried to format the High Drive where XP is. It loaded all the components, but it doesn't find any HDD.

Please now, tell me. Am I f*cked up?

IDK what happened, is there any way to down-grade your BIOS? A while ago, when i installed Win7, i would BSOD everytime i pressed the caps lock key so i had to uninstall my drivers and find new ones.

It sounds to me like either something failed during the BIOS flash or you used the wrong BIOS file. Try to get the original bios file from your computer manufacturer's site and flash that.

Also, reply with the manufacturer and model number of your computer and I'll see if I can find out more information for you.

My Manufactuer is ACER, model ASPIRE 5315.

But now im here I might have the problem

Didd you flash it in windows or from a USB device? Look in ur motherboard setup if the HDD is recognized by ur mobo. Did you make a backup from ur old bios? Find the CMOS reset jumperpin on ur mobo and reset ur CMOS settings. if nothing helps look for a proper BIOS which you know that works and flash it manually from a USB device. If this was a OEM build you've lost ur warrenty.
