X-Trap!!!
Ok, i have a brand new Windows 7 LabTop. Its an ACER LabTop, 3GigaByte, and I've only had it for about 2 months. Cross Fire worked for me for about a month. But then i started facing this error and now i havn't gotten to play CF (Cross Fire) in a month! When X-Trap and HGW Game Watcher pop up it takes them FOREVER to load. When X-Trap finally loads HGM Game Watcher takes a while for it to get to the 87% the done. When it's all gone CF doesn't pop up. After about 5 mintues a box pops up saying, "Timed out waiting for inttiling of X-Trap Engine." and then CF doesn't work or open! I wrote a support forum and they told me to run CF in Combatibility Mode. I don't know how to do that so i wrote back and asked but they didn't answer. So does anyone know how to run CF in Combatibility Mode? Or have any tips on how to fix this X-Trap problem?

Yea i did that when u posted it. But...still didnt work. Any more ideas?to run in campatibilty mode u have to:
1.) right click Crossfire
2.) Go to Properties
3.) Click on the Compatibility Tab
4.) Tick "Run In Capatibility Mode For: Windows XP service pack 2

No dude we dont its ridiculous and totally frustrating. Xtrap has twenty times more errors than the previous one Z8games used....
I have this problem too. And to all you people who think the antivirus is the problem ITS NOT. And besides having to disable your antivirus to play a free game over the internet with no protection is stupid. Im still playing COD4 because of this error. -
I have this problem too, for months now
I've had this problem for months, ever since the patch came out, the one right after the Halloween patch of last year.
I am unable to load Crossfire at all.
I've tried uninstalling it (erasing the Z8 and Subagames folders in Program Files, too); and Reinstalling it. I've tried using different versions from different mirrors. I've tried compatibility mode, but there is no option to run it in XP there, since I'm using XP.
I've tried disabling my antivirus. I've tried uninstalling my antivirus.
