"Lag is impaired computer functionality (slow application responses or reduced/choppy framerates) resulting from high latency, packet loss, or low-preformance (generally video) hardware." - Urban Dictionary
It basically looks like their teleporting from place to place. -

I know 'lagging' is an internet problem in data chain transmitting.
I was born in late 1960's, not your generation.
Lagging is pretty much when you have a high ping/latency and the game seems to work really slowly for you and tends to freeze alot.
''Lagger'' is what players are called when they have a high ping and experience lag.

heres what it does, you are shooting them ,but they don't seem to die thats because they've already moved to a different spot so in their view , your shooting at nothing -
I can prove you wrong about that. I have 265 on uk and I am an easy kill if I am not camping ( GM ) other mode I don`t play only because of that fuc-king ping XD . If you think I am joking then play against me and see whether it`s hard to kill a high pinger.BlindEagle wrote: »if the guy hust over 170 ping, he is a lagger and doesn't take damage. -

Your still younger than my wife. I love to show the grandkids how 'old' school kicks their young a.ss's back to grade school.
Would have thought you would have remembered time spent playing games via dial-up connections.
We've come a long way since those days but still have a ways to go. It's awesome to see international game play but we still have latency issues relative to server locations. And the way international laws are written one just can't pop a server anywhere they like for now.
At the rate things are moving it shouldn't be to much longer the term 'lagger' is old school and we will come up with new things to call people.

yeah, first 14.4k modem, then 28.8k, later 36.6k, I remember the speed leap when I changed from 144 to 288 (for those who were born with DSL, 144 means maximum download rate: 1.44kb/s, yes, you read it right, 1.44kb/s not 14.4! as compared to nowadays 300kb~1Mb/s)
when I first played online FPS game, there were no ping displayed nor FPS value, you just type anything and hit Enter, then you 'feel' the lag from Enter being hit to whatever word displayed on the screen, you 'sense' the latency by yourself, that is the ping I remember in the old days.clodhopper wrote: »Your still younger than my wife.
