I've seen no correlation in how quickly it happens and how many people I see logged onto a server. I've had it happen consistently since the patch, both when bravo was almost empty, and when it was near full. I don't mean to pretend to know how they spread the load out across their hardware, but there are obvious busy times and slow times, and it happens during both.
This is obviously a bug in the patch. Though it may be possible we can do something on our end to prevent triggering this bug, it doesn't seem likely. I think it's safe to say we can all stop trying to uninstall this or that, or change this or that setting, and just wait for someone to acknowledge the issue and get it fixed.
I second that.
I use ESET Home security, wired connection and this happens in every map, also in every servers.
It works for about 1-2 hours after i do clean install, then error comes back again -

Hey guys, I have been getting kicked due to the map error since last patch also. I can play from 2-5 minutes then i get the error. I am running a XP64 bit machine. I have uninstalled the game, then reinstalled it after manually cleaning all from registry and killing all game folders. I have had no antivirus running at all and it makes no difference for me. I installed it on a laptop and still had the errors.........
So I take my computers to a friends house..no errors at all. His kids played all night on my machine.
Next, I set up my computer in the DMZ (de-militarized zone) in my router settings. I played for a few hours..no kick !!! I turned off my DMZ and I got map error kick in a few minutes.
DMZ is like bypassing your router and its inbuilt firewall. I haven't figured out wich little filter or setting is doing it though. It would help if someone could tell me what ports and/or other connections crossfire uses...maybe we could just do some port forwarding or triggering?
I hope the DMZ at least lets some of you play..its working for me.
BTW..my router is a netgear 3500L with custom firmware. -

This seemed to happen RIGHT after someone else had this problem.
I think it may have to do something with the resolution and the x64 machine.
After a player in one the servers had this error and restarted, the problem literally JUMPED to me.

rofl is that it i was on 30 now on 244 because of game bugs.
anyways im pretty sure saidan said that they wer working on a patch but didnt give a date so maybe next week sometime. -

I forwarded all three ports to the machine I'm attempting to play crossfire on, and it didn't seem to have any effect. I still got the "Incorrect Map Info" error after a few minutes. -
today i've tried to give a try with that new DMZ info. i've turned DMZ on, on the adsl router and yes, i was able to play a couple of hours without getting "hack tool detected". but there's no consistency because i got that error twice in the last 30 minutes. welcome back our nitemare.
win 7(x86), no antivirus running (except Microsoft's own Windows Defender running as service), no program running at background. connected via realtek gigabit ethernet, amd x2 x64 cpu. -
[Random forum name]Im having the same problems first it said hack tool detected ''Even tho i dont even hack and i dont have any hack programs then it came up with incorrect map info then lastly it comes up with disconnected from server then im back to the desktop ive been having it for 2 weeks =(
Who ****ing cares about maiden and stuff cant they make a patch where all players can play

I open my ports 13008 and 16666 in udp/tcp and the ip's 74.200.6.133 and 74.200.6.161 nothing change, still same stupid and fu...g error.I scaned my PC ....no virus wdf is wrong . Some 1 cant tell us wut is wrong whit this game.
