I defused it once practically touching a guy, same situation w/o smoke, the box under a window on BW. Waited for a plant (he planted next to the 3 boxes) and he stands on the corner of those boxes staring down long A. I was close enough to knife him.

It's probably one of three reasons why he was able to accomplish that.

1. He glitched.

2. He was playing against blind idiots.

3. He planned this out with his friends in order to make the video. So they pretended not to notice him on purpose.

It only takes one to screw up the check, not EVERYBODY has to check that one spot. One guy misses it, his whole team thinks he checked it well. Beside the fact this has never happened to me due to the defuse noise, yes people have tried to ninja me (instantly defusing soon as I plant it) it's still a noticeable noise.
