Cross connection

Hi sorry for my english but i'm Italian
i have a problem with crossfire connecting...while i log on the channel / room it blocks on the word: connection to the channel / room...i have a connection stable only crossfire give me this problem...what is the problem?

Do you have an anti-virus and/or firewall? What OS are you using?

yeah..i tried to turn off anti virus when i play cross but it doesn't work anyway...i use windows XP

Ok, did you install CF while the antivirus was running? If so, uninstall CF, disable Anti-Virus and reinstall CF then restart anti-virus.

What is your anti-virus? Does it come with a firewall also?

i installed it when the anti vir wasn't running. I have Avira Antivir Personal

Ok, i dont personaly know that anti-virus but im pretty sure that theres a firewall included in it and your problem is coming from a blocked access/port/ip or something..

Does this problem occur even if your anti-virus is not INSTALLED?

Around 2 weeks ago crossfire worked with the antivirus, i deactivate the firewall but crossfire doesn't work
