Ive found out that sometime, when you throw a smoke grenade in an spot that you cant access (by walking or jumping) it makes the <server> laggy for everyone (even when you are dead!) and when the round restart, it goes back to normal FPS.
I throwed a smoke on the roof of CF-market in Downtown (didnt want it there.. but anyway lol) it was making everyone laggy, going from 100fps to 20fps and so on..
I dont know exactly whats going on but i doubt its your computer since you can get 150fps.
Hope someone can clear that out. -
wrong if your fps drops you see everyone lagging because your the one lagging from fps rate when other people might not be lagging (but i bet most of them where since almost everyone is above 200+ ping) fps issue can be caused by memory usage the only possible way to change it is if the memory usage stops using so much memory to read whats happening or get a new graphics card and possibly some more ram
1. you graphics card is most likely settings it's ways thats why your fps lag is becoming more frequent or dropping more in certain places
2. your graphics card is over heating - over using graphics card for games e.g. using high/very high details in games or the graphics card fan is getting slowed down by dust thats stored up over time around the fan.
first off you should check if there is dust stored up on your graphics card fan by opening your computer and just a light to check the fan if you cant see the fan because of where it is or the way it is placed or if it does have dust then carefully remove the card.
there are three ways to clean your card's fan from dust (main ways anyway XD)
1. get a specialized mini hover that is designed for computers and graphics cards but i doubt you have one of these or could find one in a shop near you unless you got a computer shop near you.
2. get a cotten wool ball/bud and slowly move it over the fan and it should pic up the dust pretty easy (safe way to remove dust)
3. if your VERY careful you can use a small screw driver to pull out the dust but i do not recommend this unless you are VERY careful and have a steady hand and patience otherwise you will probably damage the card -
Lag is not the same thing of FPS.
You should know, fps: frames per second
Ping: Amount of time needed to send information to the server
The smoke makes anyone's fps go down.
I recommend you gettin a better graphic card, so you wont get soo much fps stutter. -
I use a BFG Geforce 9800 GT 512MB and I play CODMW2 with an average of 120fps (medium settings) and 75FPS with high settings.
In CF I play with high settings and I get an between 210FPS(5vs5) - 45FPS (8vs8).
And Im quite sure that the graphics of CODMW2 are way much better than CF.
Thus.. its CF problem, not your computer tiko1995. -

XD definitely CF. Games like Combat Arms and even HL2 run smoother on my computer than CF... it's a CF problem.
