if im not mistaken this game was coded to take advantage of the CPU and not your GPU.
My buddy had a Quad core OCed to higher then yours with and onboard GFX and was keeping a steady 90 - 100.
now he got a nvidia 250 i think and he gets like 200 sumtin i thought
he has some cheap ass 4gb's of ram too -

And my quad core 2.8ghz should be easy to handle enough.
I will prolly get at least 80fps+ in 8v8
Would I be able to record though?? -
he records ive watched him um didnt seam to have any issues not sure what his record fps and ingame fps was but i can ask him for ya when he get on ventwell I got an ati raedon thing that is 512mb...

if you wanna record for montages, no.. it wont be too good for recording, it'll say 30-40 but it will feel like 20ish.
i have 2.4Ghz intel quad core, and like an okay graphics card with 4 gb ram= 60+ no matter what w/o recording, im guessing around 70-80+ for you. -

80? Human is capable of seeing 60 FPS at a time (I think or at least close to that), so, if you record it make it 60, so that means you'll have about 20 fps. So, that's a lag. -
what OS are you using? vista/7 fails for games. Unless you got a lot of ram to compensate.KDxWrecker wrote: »if you wanna record for montages, no.. it wont be too good for recording, it'll say 30-40 but it will feel like 20ish.

Vista? yes. Win7? no.
You'll actually get 3-4 more FPS on average on Windows 7 than Windows XP.
Also, Win7 can actually recognize 4GB of RAM if it's a 32 bit version... unlike the fail-of-an-OS Vista which could only recognize like 3.5 GB. -

Vista with crossfire, 3 gigs of ram: 40 during a lot of action, 70 during a small fire fight.
W7 with crossfire, 4.5 gigs of ram: 50 during a lot of action, 80 during a small fire fight.
XP with crossfire, 2.5 gigs of ram: 80 during a lot of action, 140 during a small fire fight.

I run an i7 1.6ghz with 6 gb of ddr3-1333 and a 1gig gpu and I get 100-150fps in an 8v8, no less than 70 through smoke.
your performance should be similar (maybe a little less cuz your CPU doesn't compensate for the rest of your system) I'd say probably about 80-120fps in an 8v8 -

And to the people who say FPS only comes with a good processor,i say no,,its combination between Cpu and graphics cards
But graphics cards are more effective specially for ati 5970 dual GPU
i got 2
planning to get 3rd but i heard that it adds only 30 %
Good luck with your new PC -
Wow, how much did that cost ya, the CPU alone is hella expensive.... I woulda gone with AMD's black edition, saved like 700-800 bucks and bought more ram....O_DAMAG3_O wrote: »Sorry man, i just saw it now ..
