Is the Tar21 worth it?

Simple question, is the Tar21 a good weapon? I play Modern Warfare 2 and the Tar 21 is my favourite weapon.
Obviously you can't just say its good or bad.
coz you need to know my game style.
I tend to go close quarter most of the time, never snipe in this game coz the AWM feels weird to me, and rarely go med-range. So you can pretty much say I'm a 'safe-rusher'.
Also note that I spend most of my time in Mutant mode as that is the only reason I even downloaded this game.
