Srsly, you can see that at least a third of the threads on the first page of the "Technical Solutions" section is relating to the problem where CF just gets stuck on the "HGW game watcher" box. DO something!!

If you continue to ignore our problems like this, eventually, the game's popularity will decrease, and it will become dead. Hopefully it will if these problems don't get fixed!

When problems like this occur its usually only for a limited number of players. Obviously this issue doesn't affect everyone, as the servers are busier than I've ever seen them. Eagleeye96 posted some interesting information regarding this problem:

So it seems the something on the CLIENT end (your computer) terminates the connection. If that is the case then there is nothing that we can do to fix the problem. If you are behind a router try making sure that port 16666 is open.

One of our teammate in teamBYE had that problem, was causing by his anti-virus AND Internet Explorer 8. he just removed Internet Explorer 8 (and get firefox which is a good thing) then disable antivirus BEFORE starting the game. Problem has been fixed for him.

That would be good to see what is currently in your process running so we can help you out better.

Do you have a firewall or antivirus ? And do you have Internet Explorer 8 installed?

IE 8 won't make a difference, as it's only a browser, not the actual internet connection.

I had this problem, I reset my modem, and it stopped. Might not work for everyone but it's worth a try.
