How to get good at knifing!

Few days ago i bough the permanent axe from black market and i wanted to give it a try, asked my friend (witch has a knife) to 1on1 me, and he won, he just owned me.

While playing i noticed his unfair range on his kills and asked him few questions, after investigating a little i noticed something, this game is so bad coded that if you put your resolution(ingame) at 800x600 your range gets way bigger and it's so easy to slay whit the knife\axe\shovel.
