2. Create an allowed DLL list of DLL's to be injected into the game (Everyone knows DLL's get injected into the game for Shaders, graphics, etc. DX 9 / 8 files. e.g only allow Shader_3_3.dll to be injected, no others. However, there will be a problem if a hack-maker creates a DLL that has the shaders + hacks inside of it.
if a hack-maker creates that dll, couldn't a staff member just resort to method one? -

Yeah thats sucks & thats part of it for sure. Many reasons why players play unfair & dirty & vote kick when theres no legit reason. Some will see you get just 2 good kills in a row & immediately jump to an ill conceived conclusion that you must hack, only cuz theyre just that ignorant. And yeah a lot of the less scrupulous players will try to get the ace player kicked so they can move in & steal the spot. Yeah I completely agree, faaaar too often the vote kick system is abused & misused for unwarranted & malicious reasons other then what its intended for. Theres no question the vote kick system is greatly flawed & thats only cuz of the people the misuse it & it unquestionably needs revised. That has never changed & will never until they actually do something to address the reasons why it doesnt work. I do however also feel a vote kick system properly tweaked is important to have in a game like this. I do see on occasion it being used fairly but way more often, yes it is just a joke. Basically, it serves its purpose....sometimes & is still necessary to have, it just needs to fixed.its wicked u cant disable the voting but it gets abused too often, just pray for luck
Or get stuck on Mutant Mode, like Ive been ever since it came out ( : no vote kick...yet at least & as room host I can still have some control over the punks & hackers.All the hackers that are looking at this message, please... STOP.

If everyone hacked, no one would play since everyone would constantly get headshots and cheat 24/7, therefore... NO PLAYERS.
Hackers, you're probably thinking (Oh, I'm not listening to this guy, he's ridiculous plus everyone can't afford hacks) Doesn't matter if you can or not, it's wrong and evil of people to have a strong disadvantage over players.

You make some good sense, unfortunately the majority of people who use these hacks dont have enough sense of fair play & morals to begin with & I think most already realize this & obviously dont care. But very good point non the less. -
Im just giving this thread a quick bump atm. Seeing has how theres been such a dramatic increase in the hacking, glitching etc; lately & especially the ongoing problems with people constantly getting unfairly kicked I thought Id bump this back up for any newcomers to the board who may wish to take a look & for anyone that wants to leave their constructive feedback, thoughts, opinions etc; Yeah its a monster thread but in it are some very good ideas, thoughts, opinions, suggestions & so on regarding these matters.

Fixing one would fix the other... And it's a lot easier to change the kick vote system than vasectomy and labotomize the majority of the player base.
Plus I have the feeling something like that was attempted before with less than optimal results. -

I dont know if that is a question more directed at me or just the CF community in general. But as Ive mentioned in many of my posts, yes, ultimately the sole reason the current vote kick system fails so much & so often is due to the irresponsible & inappropriate use of the system by a large number of the CF player base. Yes it is the community itself responsible for misusing it, but think about this...
Who and what are our choices to change or take out here? The community itself? Any or all of the many, many CF players that play this game & chose to misuse & abuse the kick system? Would anyone ever suggest that we must or even could change or take out the players themselves?
Of course not, so what logical recourse does that leave us? We must change the system itself to better compensate & take into account the certain large percentage of the CF player base that will so often misuse the kick vote system & unfairly kick other players for any number of different illegitimate, malicious or even simply inexperienced & uneducated reasons.
These CF players that do this are not going away & they are not changing - ever. Some may mature personaly & may learn the game better, some may come & go, but there will always be someone to take their place. They are here to stay, along with the rest of the fair-minded & experienced players who use the system correctly that come & go. Were all in this together the good apples & the bad ones.
I couldnt say the % of players that frequently misuse the vote-kick system compared to the % of those that generally use it fairly & wisely but I think most of us recognize its pretty high. For anyone that has played this game & been around long enough & for those players that get frequently kicked for bogus reasons, I know they agree, the vote kick system needs revised & we must address this one core problem here that is actually correctable & fixable - The Vote-Kick System.
Were not ever going to be changing the people that misuse it so lets take the next possible, logical & practical step & take a hard look at the system itself & see why it fails (because of the users themselves) and what we can do to counter the very reasons why the system ultimately fails. Again, yep its cuz the users themselves misuse it. But if you can see the point Im making here, we only have two options, change the humans or change the system. Which one is possible, which one is not.
We need a system that will take into account & into consideration that there will always be users who wish to misuse & abuse it & not use it fairly & will ultimately result in a large number of unfair player kicks on a daily basis. And then change the system, revise it, however you want to name it to adapt to the humans that use it & abuse it.
Ive always agreed we do need to have some sort of a vote kick system in place, until & if Z8 ever gets the reporting method more streamlined & centralized & user friendly at least. I just believe it can be changed & upgraded to better serve the community. -

I don't really see "fixing" the vote kick system as an option here, as I stated before, the problem is the community itself, why would you try to fix something that is not broken? And let's just say, it gets upgraded in some way, however we are still infested with the same rotten community. I'm certain that they will still abuse the system, in other words, the ultimate solution would be the absolute removal of the vote kick system. Only with one big flaw, we would have to put up with the cheaters that we encounter ingame.
But considering the outstanding job of our Anti Cheat System (X-Trap) with the clear decrease of cheaters in CF, we will not deal with this issue as we used to be when we had GameGuard. I was totally against the removal of the Vote Kick System before, however, since the arrival of X-Trap, I can't find many arguments against it. -

Kids, let me make it clear to you once and for all. You can't fix the kick-vote system, for it isn't broken. You can do 3 things with the kick-vote system, and all 3 are bad.
(1) Remove it.
Bad idea, because hackers (yes, they are still out there) will have a field day with it.
(2) Make it harder to vote.
Again, bad idea, for the same reason as above.
(3) Make it easier to vote.
Also a bad idea, because of people abusing the kick-votes for their own petty reasons.
So what the hell are you nitwits going to suggest we do about the kick-vote system when it isn't the problem, and any changes that you can make to it are ultimately worse that it is now?

Whilst it's true the problem is with the player base, it is nonsensical to suggest that it is the player base that needs 'fixing' as we cannot change the player base nor can Z8.
Assuming we must deal with what's 'broken' (and not kick vote), what should Z8 do? Send the players on anger management courses? Training courses to play better? What one needs to keep in mind is; that kick vote is used wrongly roughly 99% of the time, therefore tightening it up or removing it is not that absurd at all. It is not true that hackers can take over in any way shape or form when there is protection against hackers with or without kick vote. -

It's fun and easy to get really good scores as a ghost, especially if you have practice and skill and enjoy doing that. Also if you have a nice melee weapon it's easier. (I'd play a lot more Ghost Mode if I had a katana. >_>)
He's being punished just for taking the time to be good and having fun doing it, the same as a lot of us and it's simply not fair. This inequality needs to be fixed.
There are servers for rookies, there are servers where lower level people can play, there's a server for higher level people to play and there are servers to get better ping. Figure out which one is right for you and stop being ******s. I hate all the nubs that play Delta and can't even shoot, go play another server then. Or if you lag go to a server with better ping. Take away the GP, I don't care, I'd still play on the server with the best people to fight I can find. I never team-stack, I always try and go on the side with worst players just to have a decent fight. Curb-stomping the opposing team isn't fun, it's boring. I don't even want to kill you if you can't put up a fight.
IMO: Less channels, more servers. A no-kick or even higher rank or K/D server would fix a lot of these problems. Not just the vote-kick system itself but the pathetic gamers I don't even want to play with. -
omg dude i had the same problem. i was playing in downtown and this nub (no-hawk) stood right in front of this entrance so i shot him. after i shot him he started QQing about how i wall. than he said" freedom account banned". i was like ok?. but honestly he was right in front of me.

I think they should just put a an server called "Adult Server (Gangsta Server)" where there is no kick vote and consequently no QQ'ers (they'll play where they can "kill people with the kick vote system").
Then those that want no kick vote can have their wish and those that think "hackers would take over" without kick vote, can simply play with the QQ'ers in other servers.

So anyways. XD I told him don't be a cheater but it just goes to show. I put it like this... These are all a bunch of dumb no-experienced kids. They probably never played a real FPS before CrossFire whereas some of us have been playing CS for the last 10 years.

The only time il ever call out hac.ks if i was constantly getting hsed over and over and over again by the same persone but it have to be for more then 6 or 7 rounds cause they could be very lucky or have headphones. People cry out hac.ks on me cause they dont know how to aim, they lagg, or its cause i was to quick for them and managed to head shot them. I mean wth I bet if they got rid of the hacks everything would be better no more laggs and fps would be good and a good few people would be happier to add they probably would get better buisness.
