Ordered a new laptop

well I just ordered a new laptop

the specs...well the basic hardware is

Core 2 Duo 2.26 Ghz(I know late, but it was cheap)
4 GB ram
Nvidia Geforce 9300GS 256 Mb graphics
250GB HD running 7200 RPM

its a dell vostro 1520, I paid about 700 bucks and got a bunch of other stuff included

I'd like to know if it will run well with CF since on another laptop I have has an nvidia Quadro 160NVS and its a crazy FPS spiker.

That laptop has pretty good specs. You should be fine

You will get an easy like 120 I am guessing in places like crossroads or something.

The Graphics card and the processor aren't the greatest, but it should run okay, try GameBooster if it doesn't.

the only reason I think my other laptop is bad at running CF is because of vista, so thats why I tried as much as possible to get windows 7. I got windows 7 home premium 64bit

64 bit makes it slower. The max ram a 32 bit windows 7 can have is 4. So it is un needed for 64 bit.

Very true, just for MW2 you need double the amount of minimum RAM for Vista, compared to XP. You could install Windows Vista Gamer Edition, or Windows 7 Diamond Edition like I have on my spare lappy, if you're intending to use it solely for gaming.

I have never heard of windows 7 diamond edition. is it a modded or a full installation?

I probably won't end up playing mw2 on my laptop since I got it for ps3 :P. if I can run TF2 on it. I'll be fine for a while

It's a full installation, a whole different OS but it'll set ya back roughly $500-$600. You can get XP Diamond too, not too sure if there's a 7 Diamond.

Yeah I rarely ever play MW2 on laptop, cept when I'm out of the house.
