Don't get the clan points

I do not understand the clan points how are they rated what are those points under our names..... i have 335 pionts and one of my liudentents have 557 and it doesnt' add up to like 952 cause i ahve more members with 50+

500 exp in-game = 1 clan point. 167000 EXP = 335 clan points.
Every week, 5% of the clans total points gets taken away.
Points will not add up correctly since members come and go and 5% get taken away every week.

Does playing clan matches gain clan points or is getting 500 xp the only way?
