Mind explaining to me how to create this 'translucent' effect?
I don't know what your previous avatar looked like, but pretty like have the background the same color as the forum background. It's all clear with the exception of the text. So it looks like the text is embedded into the forum itself, instead of being a standalone 64x64 (or w/e) picture.
You can do it either two ways, saving it as a .png file
or, screenshotting the forum, then using the eyedropper tool to get the exact color, then filling the background with that (meaning it will only work with forums with the same bg color). -
