weopon modification

Uhh not a good idea. Threads like this have been denied many times, this game is a fast paced non sci-fi shooter with the acception of ghost and mutation*cough* also this game is supposed to be a counter strike clone.

not going to happen O_O ruin the point of other guns like ak scope/ knife m4a1 adv/ custom ect. but the barret yes. and a good idea would be new skins for guns

Crossfire would not benefit from a customizable weapon system for a variety of reaasons:

1) Each gun (m4a1 custom, m4a1 scoped etc.) all have different feels to them. They might seem to just be their vanilla counterpart with a modification but they are for the most part seperate guns with seperate spray patterns, audible range etc. A modification system takes away from this experiance by having guns just act "the same".

2) The game as is was programed without a modification system in mind. Every gun is an individual model, and to build such a system into this game in its present state would require a significant portion of manpower and resources that would lead to the inability of constant supply of new weapons, maps etc.

3) There would be no increase in profit for anyone considering the amount of time it would take to implement a customizable weapon system into the game. The current system of individual firearms works fine and is profitable when considering that some guns require ZP to obtain, and ZP can be used to gain GP for use with GP weapons.


In conclusion, weapon modifications just don't make sense when you consider the amount of time that would be needed to implement a working system within the game. This game and its gameplay mechanics benefiet more from individual firearms with individual stats then a modular weapon system would bring anyways (CS Clone ftw ^.^).

What is most likely in the realm of possibilities are different skins for firearms, which would be a good idea to implement as a ZP item for some guns.

They have skins in Chinese Crossfire already. A Razor Kriss is the only one i know of.
