actually I think scar-L is a pro gun
don't flame me, frankly I feel tired of using this gun
by using both scar-light and M4, I feel mid-range to long-range, scar-light's more difficult to kill than M4, M4 is much easier to head-shot or kill in anyways, using M4 actually boosts my KDR
close-counter, scar-light is a bit shy of AK
so my gut feeling is: scar-light is actually BOTH pro's gun who head-shots AND noob's gun who sprays

Really, I don't see why SCAR-L should be so expensive. The only aspect that it has that is superior to others will be the slightly faster reloading process, especially compared to the SCAR-H counterpart. But still, in all other points, if you so want something similar to it, I recommend just getting the Heavy.

then get a cup of strong coffee to think cleary.
TELL ME which gun has:
-high power
-low recoil
-tight spray pattern
-small spread
-high ROF
-super fast reload
now,the scar-h is a lot different,and has realistic/proper stats. -

But in all of the others, yes, the Light is superior, I agree to that... But maybe the money isn't really worth it. Especially to a person like me who doesn't care at all about recoil or reloading.
Maybe not yet. But let's face two situations:
1- You're with the Scar L, I'm with a preferred gun of choice (let's say M4A1-C). You see me, and start spraying. Your recoil goes way up. I pop you. Now does recoil interest you? (of course, this is just hypothetical)
2- Reloading. You spray, let's imagine, and go to reload. I see you, and I know you're reloading, so I go near you and bam, you're dead. Reloading plays an extremely important factor unless the target is quite far away (and yet, they can snipe you). Always do it secluded and when you're sure no one will come and pop you.
The Scar L, to be frank, isn't that great. I'd take my XM8 anyday over it. It was a good gun to start off when I began playing CF, but now it sucks and I consider it a n00b gun. -

scar light is NOT a pro gun.
this doesn't really bother me during scrims, since I'm probably using an AWM, SL too, or ak
in pub SnD and GM i understand.
But using a scar light in a TDM... I hate you all...
anyways~
the scar light is considered a noob gun because it's
1. one of the stronger rifles
2. really accurate
3. light
4. fast reload
5. low recoil and tight spray
6. Fast RoF
Usually, strong rifles are balanced with recoil (AK) or slow RoF (k2), but SL is just overpowered and too easy to control. You may be pro, but you won't be recognized if you use a SL. -

It all depends on preferences. For example, I was talking to doops one night about what guns to use/not to use in WOGL, and the XM8 was brought up. I can straight wreck with an XM8 a lot of the time, but doop, however, who usually uses the ScarL when it's not WOGL season, said that he didn't like the feel of it, even though it was a great gun.
I personally think the ScarL is a decent gun, but even if it was allowed, I wouldn't use it in any tournaments.
