a constant 60 fps is the best. Anything else is technically unnecessary. But not to brag or anything... But in about a month I will have a quad core

yeah, the intel i9 is going to be pretty impressive.

I've played on a Core 2 Duo + Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT, and it got 150+ FPS.

Me:

7 years old mutha-broad
P4 2.4 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 3850 AGP (512 Mb)
RAM 1.5 Gb PC3200 (200 Mz)

GM Lab:

- 8vs8 with lots of smoke n mayhem: sometimes below 30 FPS but not by much
- Normal situations 8vs8: around 50 FPS
- With less players/action: above 70 FPS all the time

CF is quite CPU-dependant. After heavy use I open the MSI afterburner logging screen and the average GPU usage is always below 50%. Only Google Earth (OpenGL) seems to put my graphic card to work. I can set the fan speed to 3% and playing CF the GPU never reaches 60 degrees (celsius), go figure.
