Will CF ever die?

it had occurred in other servers
the Korean Crossfire de-facto died... despite the irony that it was the first Crossfire server the game creaters launched!
I quit Korean version couple years ago and moved to Z8 version. When I played the Kor-CF one server (equivalent of alpha server) was barely full during its peak time -
Well material wise no, at the rate they're releasing patches.. they have a life time of updates. As will CrossFire be a good game in say 5+ years. No. If good prizes are not released in leagues, CrossFire competitively will die within the next year or two.

WOGL + ESL are the only chances this game has. If both those leagues go out then competitive CF is done.
z8 is backing WOGL and thats something they've never done before. You can't ask for more than that.
As far as the game itself, unless these technical errors and crashes are fixed by the devs, the popluation will eventually fall off. -
Just depends on how CF keeps up with the rest of the pack as far as online FPS games go, imo. You have to look at stuff like Halo and Halo Trial....probably what, 7 years old and still has activity? If people love Crossfire, there'll always be players on it so long as the servers exist, but for the most part, we'll all move on from it, either to other games, or to college or the -gulp- "real world."
But, Crossfire can greatly extend its appeal and lifetime of activity by continuing to work hard on the things that need fixed, and working with the community to keep finding ways to improve and upgrade the game for us players. -
Not for a very, very long time.
I look at what made WoW such a major smash upon release and keeps it going strong.
Upon release almost any pc on the planet could run it because they had 'dumbed' down the graphics a bit from the current trend. Continued to release game content for those reaching end game. They were able to maintain that repeat customer while adding to it at the same time.
CF has the same potential. It too 'dumbed' down the graphics a bit from the current trend. Making it possible for almost any pc on the planet to play. It's a part of the new trend 'free to play' but has an item mall for enhancing your gaming experience which affords new content.
1-2 years is about the average life a gamer will put into a game before moving on. I see people here celebrating 1 year anniversaries now. Took me that long before I even found CF and moved over to it. So others will be doing the same as they move from one game to the next for years to come.
