Ping consistently higher then usual..?

I played Crossfire for about a year now, for 10-11 months of it I'd always have 180-190 ping unless I was like downloading something, for the last fortnight or so my ping has been at a consistent 200+, often hitting 220.

My network hasn't changed in any way, I didn't change internet plans or anything, no of course I'm not downloading something, and yes other people have had the problem as well as ping spikes that never happened before recently.

So what's up? I have a sneaking suspicion it might actually be my ISP, but maybe some American's have also been experiencing this and that would prove it wasn't my ISP.

It's really gay when you can barely get a kill, that 40 ping really seems to matter. xD

Maybe someone in your house is using the interwebs for pr0n, slowing down your connection.

No I'm certain I'm playing CF in the exact same environment as I have for the last few months, somebody has actually been downloading pron on my network and causing me to lag uber bad, but when I'm downloading I get like 500-1000 ping, and I'm certain I'm not so it's definitely not that.

Last year 50. Last summer 14.
Last night 17.

I haven't noticed a change in my ping at all.
Unless I play in the UK server.
Did it once & never went back again.

Hello,

I have noticed the same thing. My ping almost doubles for a few hours in the evenings before settling back down. It occurs on a nightly basis during peak EST.
