needs replacment for fraps

ok heres the deal i want to record my game play and hopfully eventualy make a vid for it but my fraps drags my fps so low i cant do anything in game is there a free fraps alternative or somthing close to it with full quility unlike a hypercam?

it never used to work for vista (and win7 i think)

but that appears to have been fixed
