For $500, don't do that. You can afford both a very nice monitor and a very nice headset. Skullcandy does awesome headsets, though I don't know if Fry's sells them.

I forgot to mention the headset must also have a mic.

Umm, hope its not too late to mention this, but if your interested in Sony products, I work for em and know allllllll the tricks to save u loads of cash. Would require online purchases tho...

Either way, for headsets, we don't make em (we only make headphones)
I suggest u go with Logitech's g35, u can find em for under $100 bucks if u look around and they're full 7.1 SS with noisecancelling and voice-morphing (space chipmunk totally rocks

)
