Good Bye CF... For now...
In short: My laptop crashed.
"Error Loading Operating System"
So for now, until I get either a new laptop, or fix this one. I can't play CF anymore. Good bye, It was fun...
:'(
PS: I'm using my desktop to write this, which can't play CF at a playable fps...

dunno what that error is.. but try running your laptop in safe mode if you can and save all the stuff you need on a usb hardrive or something else that holds memory and do a system recovery
Can't run it in safe mode if the OS won't start.
OS = operating system
Unless I'm terribly mistaken... -

Yeah, i think your copy of windows is corrupted. If thats the case then go out and buy another copy for 100 bucks. Should save you money over buying a whole new laptop.
Thats assuming a computer tech professional cant fix it. -

Or he could download that OS, burn it in a CD, and only repair the WINDOWS files.
That's how I fixed a Laptop some days ago with the same problem. -
So would installing a new OS fix it?
I've been getting the BSOD everytime I start my computer up for a couple weeks, and sometimes it wouldn't start up. I would have to fiddle with startup recovery a lot, but this time it didn't work... and now i'm out a laptop. Plz submit ideas if you have them. I'm surfing the internet looking around for answers... -

That's why you are supposed to download the O.S.
What O.S do you need? The solution that I gave you was for Windows XP, IDK if the Vista or W7 CDs' have this option. -

You can either do a fresh install or use the option that I gave you (If you do it, you won't lose any of your files) -
Oh. I'm a noob when it comes to computers... I had Windows Vista. How much would a new one cost?...That's why you are supposed to download the O.S.

Bad driver in my case. Went to print something, accidently plugged in this webcam instead of the printer, it started installing. Unplugged the webcam and immediately got the BSOD. Then I got it everytime I started my laptop up.Xevolution wrote: »Fresh install of Windows would fix it, find a cheap copy somewhere and format your laptop, BSOD is often caused by either bad drivers or bad Ram.You can either do a fresh install or use the option that I gave you (If you do it, you won't lose any of your files)
That is assuming this desktop can burn CD's... It's a piece of junk... Seriously. -

Then get someone to do it for you instead.
EDIT: What version? Vista ultimate?home? business? -
i have XP professional and win7 ultimate if you need it... although just torrenting the OS might be faster.
same problem happened to my mate on sunday.... his OS wouldnt start due to a virus. i told his mum i could fix it but she spent £200 on some guy to do something i coulda done for fre.... he still hasnt got his computer back -
H3adShoot3r wrote: »Lol I know a guy who installs OS's. He charges $100 for it. About the price to buy a new one. And idk. It came with my laptop. Probably home.
I'm going to sleep. I will check up on this tomorrow. And tell you guyss how it went...
IMHO, it's way to expensive. $100? I charge $35-$50 for doing a full service (Installing O.S,drivers, software, and cleaning the hardware) but here in Mexico, and even some people dare to claim that it's too much
