Not usual lag...
Can someone explain this crossfire lag.
Sometimes when I hide behind corner then fall down dead. Like I was dead 1 second ago but fall down later and 5 meters away.
Same happens when I am waiting for someone to show up on window for example. Many times I am already dead when I see someone without time just to press a button. I have feeling that everyone see me 1 sec before I see them.
There is one thing.. maybe not related but to mention. Bullet holes dont always stay on wall equal amount of time. Sometimes immediately dissapears, sometime 10 sec.
I have clean computer, 150 FPS, ping EU server 50, canada 140, not wirelless...
How to fight this?

I don't know what people want to call it today, but what you are experiencing has been here since the start of CF.
A person peaking has around .2-5 (depending on ping difference) seconds where their model doesn't show up on the other person's screen. This even happens when it is a low-ping vs. a low-ping. This includes anywhere a model hasn't been seen yet and then can suddenly pop out. There is more about this, but that is the answer you were looking for for the 'window' example. Basically, you could still technically shoot the person, but you don't see the model.
As for the curving bullets/dying behind the walls, kinda the same scenario as the above in that the closer the pings the less you get shot behind the wall. First thing you have to understand is that your point of view (what you see) is not your entire model body, so even if all you can see is the edge of a corner someone else could see part of your body. Next, there tends to be a delay with any model movement in Crossfire (like the peaking). So although you are fully behind the wall on your screen, to them you may still have half your body sticking out when they shoot. Because CrossFire accepts pretty much what ever it is given, you die even though your client says that you were safe.
Annoying, right? -
I don't have any answer but I also am struggling with this issue with FPS well over 100, and pings below 40 in Canada, and around 95 in EU. To me it is very discouraging to even play when a 200 pinger is getting the drop on you by a second. It just makes no sense at all. I thought I was the only person having this issue but I see I'm not. Any help...or ideas on what is causing this would be appreicated.

Who even bothers to read that -.-.
The real answer is, the lag fairys come out this time of year and blow dust over your connection. -
@Kahlan
Thanks for some explanation. So.. we have to deal with enemy movement, our movement, gun recoil and 0.5 second lag between everything. LOL
I have to think of something to stop being killed by rookies with M16 from close distance. I bought AK because high power. But because slow firing rate, problem is even worse. My KD went down. Little paradox. I am better with qbz then with AK silver
I have to do something to up my KD from 1,6... I will try to think 0.5 sec in advance.
Thanks for the tip
@ibekillinyou
man, I change windows, overclock computer, get wired instead of wireless, you name it... It seems that game works in that way. Damn... -

The easiest way to kill people is to be the one peaking. If you have to rush a spot, keep to the walls that expose you the least and give you the widest field of view to shoot them. Don't stand still when you know someone is going to round a corner, and don't run in straight lines.
If you peak against someone waiting for you and fail to kill them in your first 1-2 bullets, first don't be standing still and secondly, don't hide right after. Be moving as much as possible.
Those are basic ways you can get around the problems from this game. -
Was that with your 50 ping or 150?
Both our pings was between 50 and 100. It was UK server. Like I have holes in connection and my bullets are not registering. But again, why his do then on me?!
I killed that guy before and after that... But sometimes, not particulary that guy, just want die. My connection seems OK and computer too. -
It's called.. far away from servers...
Well, I would not say I am so FAR. I was on UK server and my timezone is +1. This guy was somewhere here too judging by ping. My connection was clean, but his is not for sure.
After this, I will not use AK anymore. Slow rate of fire + high recoil + bad server bullet register = epic AK fail. -
The AK is beastly. You must be a sprayer, not a burster.Well, I would not say I am so FAR. I was on UK server and my timezone is +1. This guy was somewhere here too judging by ping. My connection was clean, but his is not for sure.

I agree partially. AK was always good for me in TD. But in S&D against scar lite headhunters, forget it. Most good players watch themselves so only head and gun sticking out so it is very difficult for AK to shot it because only first bullet go on spot you want. I have to control recoil by pushing gun down, but of course you have to be Malte to do that perfectly straight down.
