the simple reason for stereotypes to exist is for the joke factor. In the world today, there are few things to laugh about (with war, disease, "global warming"), and we need to find at least something to laugh at. Stereotypes do not anger me. What angers me is those who find stereotypes offensive. Why can't people learn to laugh at themselves?
