windows 7 fullscreen problem

If you are experiencing black spaces but do not see your Windows taskbar then it could be the scaling option in your video card settings. For ATI cards the setting can be found in the Catalyst Control Center in your display's properties. The available options are: choose to have the screen image scaled (preserved aspect ratio), stretched to full screen (distorts aspect ratio), or centered (keeps actual resolution numbers - i.e. - a game running in 800x600 would show up at 800x600 on the screen, with black bars on all four sides). If you select the stretch option you should no longer get the black spaces.

Unfortunately I'm not entirely sure where the option is for Nvidia cards.

Ok, I bought a laptop with Windows 7 also. I know what your problem is and to fix it (note I have just the Intel Chip Set that came with it) click on the start menu, in the search programs and files, search Intel Control Center(or the equivalent), run the Intel Control Center. Once you run this there we be like a bar that run half the box it opens saying Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel, click it. Once you click it, it should open another screen with Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel in the upper left corner. On this screen there will be a few options to the left; Display, 3D, Media, Power, and Option and Support. Of these, you need to click on the Display (may already be opened). Once you've clicked this there will be another list to the right; Display, resolution, color depth, refresh rate, rotation, and SCALING. Scaling is the one you want. Change that from maintain aspect ratio to scale full screen.
It sounds like a lot but it's only a little bit of typing and a few clicks. Just got to read all this. Sorry I couldn't make it shorter but I hope I helped.

R u serious I have Nvida card yet i have the same problem OMG
