wth is pinpointing? Ghost M question

I have these headphones that give a circle perspective. If the ghost is behind me and he starts to walk or breath, my headphones bust out the sound making it seem like it's behind me. That's usually how you pinpoint, or at least me.

pinpointing is when u hear the ghost, and you are able to tell exactly where he is just by sound, being able to tell exactly where the breath is coming from

Pinpointing is the ability to know where a ghost is just from breath. It' a skill that can take awhile to develop, but well worth it. I suggest upgrading headphones and maxing the volume (gunshots will kill your ears for a bit, but you'll get used to it.) Get a friend to just play on BL in a 1v1, let him move around without killing each other, and just get a feel for it. Some people prefer to walk while listening, others, like me, can just rampage right through and kill any ghost we hear. I also suggest getting a silenced weapon (mp5-adv and m4c are my favorites). If you can't get the ZP for a good silenced weapon, go for an SMG, they're quieter.
Try playing smaller games (2v2, 3v3) so you can hear breath without constant gun spray.

As most have said; It's the ability to point a ghosts position to the exact location. The technical term for this isn't what someone said; "circle perspective", it's a general pan. Headphones that emit a higher quality low-resolution (bass) will pick this up better. Ear buds (ie. iPod headphones) emit a partial pan; Headphones cover a larger 'spectrum'. The ability ISN'T in the headphones, those whom are GREAT at it...like anything in life; Practice makes perfect. Knowing the maps, and the general flow of the game, all while tuning your ear to the pan and bass makes for the GREATER pinpointers.

EVERYTHING audio related is processed in stereo. Mono is poor quality, and RARELY used anymore. Stereo is the richest quality audio....
