That's how I roll
My way to play, a moral guide:
In order to have fun/win/survive you must use whatever weapon you have/like/want and do whatever it takes. I'm sick of ignorant up-tight "serious people" calling people noobs for using ScarLight/AWM/whatever other weapons.
I used to think the same, until my eyes opened and I was like: "Derrrrppp it's a damn game we're here to have fun, it's not a sport, skill doesn't matter"
Honestly I'd rather play with the weakest, poorest player out there, if he were a nice guy, than play with a cool "pro" person who is ignorant, arrogant and a general jackass.
So go ahead, play whatever weapons you want, adopt whatever style you like and don't listen to such ******bags. And if you are one of the above, LIGHTEN UP, it is a game, nobody should be QQ-ing for it, we're only here to have fun.
To sum it up: Nice guy > Elite player

I disagree entirely. This is an online fps, why would you play an online fps except for competition?(theres an offline fps that can meet almost every other purpose I'm sure)
although, I do want to know something. If skill doesn't matter and were all here to have fun then why would you use a scar light to begin with?
Why would you use one of the worst guns in the game (m16) to spend the time ranking up to meet one of the highest rank requirements for a gun in the game, to buy one of the most expensive weapons in the game even though its the most over-used, dull, boring and most un-unique gun in the entire game?
anyone who mains scar light feel free to get back to me on that. -
Because I find the S-L a challenge compared to the K-2.I disagree entirely. This is an online fps, why would you play an online fps except for competition?(theres an offline fps that can meet almost every other purpose I'm sure)

S-L's my alt anyways...for when I feel...like going negative. -
lmao i totally disagree...I disagree entirely. This is an online fps, why would you play an online fps except for competition?
There is lots of reason to play this game.
Playing with friends and pure fun are the reasons i am still playing. -
i play for fun, using a scar light was fun for the 1st few days i had it. in my opinion any1 who uses a skill lite as their main is playing the game for the wrong reasons. the fun of using a weapon is in the challenge of mastering that particular weapon. once you do so, u move on to other weapons. for example, after SL, i went to awm, then m4-c, then g36k, then tommy and now im on ak47. and for a even greater twist, try sniping in GM, its quite a challenge and amazing "fun".

Nothing to argue with, its all your opinion.
That being said, for most people who play online games the majority of the entertainment comes from being challenged in the game. If the game isn't challenging then it isn't as much fun.
If you want to really look at it, things like the Scar Light, SPOP and armor aren't really big advantages (actually, armor is a pretty big advantage). But the mentality of anyone who uses it BECAUSE it is an advantage is grating. If you play the game for fun and don't really think of things as advantages then you are fine and shouldn't worry.
tl;dr? A game should be challenging for it to be fun. Enjoy playing as long as you don't seek advantages that aren't accessible to everyone. Otherwise, i'll come for you while you sleep. iEiEiEiE -
Are you sure about that? :0
If you aren't being challenged, what are you doing playing it? This is neither a job nor a way of life. You could use the argument (for this game) that playing is fun no matter how bad you are.
When it is new or if you only play once a week or something like that then yeah, no matter how bad you are the game will probably still be fun. However, eventually you will got sick and tired of dying. No game is fun if you don't look at it like a challenge yet continue to die/lose over and over.
Its a human trait, eventually you will either get frustrated at losing or bored of winning.
Think about it, and I mean really think about it before you respond. -
"Challenge"... hmm that sounds like fun.If you aren't being challenged, what are you doing playing it? This is neither a job nor a way of life. You could use the argument (for this game) that playing is fun no matter how bad you are.

I just like to hang out with friends not really try and i don't really mind dying.
I didn't really play seriously or competitively in a few months, that's why the game is getting dull :[
BTW i am not bad at all ;P -
BTW i am not bad at all ;P
Wasn't trying to imply anything. ^^.
Just saying that there has to be a reason for playing a game. For most it is for fun, and the fun comes from being challenged and winning. It doesn't have to be a single reason, friends and just mindless shooting for relaxation are reasons to, but 'friends' are from the internet, not entirely the game itself. If you know what I mean. = = -

I never said that its the only reason, but that's really kind of an alternate reason for playing the game isn't it?
You can get fun from any game as long as its entertaining and you could hang out with your online friends in any online game but when you think about it online fps games in there most basic form put you in an arena with another player and you both see who can kill the other one first. Isn't that competition?
Sure you can get fun in the game through other means but the entire game genre itself is founded on competition. So you could assume that most of the fun people get from online fps games comes from competition.
Any other means of fun that could be gotten in fps games could probably be gotten in other genres of game in equal, or greater amounts. Keep in mind that I'm talking about online fps in general, not just crossfire.
