Shadow Effects

Are there going to be any shadow effects on CrossFire in future patches? The only reason I bring this up is because I saw the options menu. It said something about Shadow Effects, which is turned off. I predicted that there will be some shadows walking with us on future patches.

On other thought I have in my mind, do you guys want shadow effects? Please post your answer. Thanks

    Im sorry, but in my opinion, shadow effects wouldnt really help much and it would also make fps laggers lag more. i know they can turn it off, but what about the newbies that dont know to turn it off. just my opinion

    I know its your opinion, and I respect that. However, what about the non-laggers? They would be able to turn it on/off to their likings.

    By the way, did you know that shadow effects make players BETTER at FPS gaming?

    shadows unfortunately eat up alot of resources in games because they have to take into consideration of a light source or multiple. which requires additional calculation not only for our computers but the server as well. fire is probably the only effect that may top shadows if done dynamically.

    problem is, there isn't that many people with good gaming machines to make it all that essential i think, it might be why they took it out. plsu they'd ahve to figure something out for ghost mode. as you wouldn't need chams to figure out shadows of ghosts nearby if they don't fix that. but realistically thats what would happen.

    I suspect that the more detail the more harder I'm going to have to concentrate on the game, probably because the extra detail might distract my eyes from actually concentrating on the enemy. I don't mind shadows, seeing as you can at least toggle them on and off.
