Reporting Hackers Change
Hello Cross Fire Players!
In order to centralize hack reporting and get to reports more efficiently we have created a new account to report hackers to.
From now on please report all hackers to this account.
The account is:
[CF]Reports
The method for reporting hackers hasn't changed. We still require a replay and a screenshot of the player list where possible and the exact In-Game-Name of the player in question. However by having them go to a centralized account it means we can be more efficient and receiving replays and getting each case reviewed.
Please review this thread for reporting hackers.

We remain vigilant against hacking and have taken plenty of steps in the recent future to cut down on the amount of hackers. At the time of this post there are very few hacks working in game right now and xtrap is doing a great job of helping us stay on top of new ones.
Please make sure that the person you report is actually hacking. A lot of skilled players use voice communication and what may look like a hack is infact just use of ventrillo or other software. Combined with the fact that quite a few hacks have been stopped by xtrap gives the game a much better feel, however the mentality of the player is to accuse first.
Hacking reports will be judged upon by a z8games staff member only. Bans will be issued if there is enough evidence. If you are hacking, you will get caught and we will ban you.
You may also submit hack reports to the support system as well as always.
And finally, I will be helping to transition the reports from my account to this new [CF]Reports account. This may mean that your report will not get a reply, or it will get a reply instructing you to send reports to that account. Please be patient with us as it will take more than a day to transition everyone's habits.
Thanks very much!

I was getting disheartened by reporting too. I sent them via a support ticket, always wondered if anything got done. But recently, I saw a hacker banned that I reported. Felt awezome

So just keep reporting. If they hack, they will be banned.
This is true.
Having them go to [CF]Reports means that they can be checked more efficiently. While all confirmed reported hackers will have action taken against them, doing it this new way means we can handle a larger amount. -

Thanks, reported the same guy 4-5 times and the replay never got downloaded (MU account has a counter).
Sent it to this new 'centralized' reporting account/address and next thing I know, my MU account shows my replay has been downloaded! Checked ban list, hacker banned!
Awesome. -
Is it very necessary to put a screen shot in there?
I only manage to got the replay.
He got kicked in like 10 secs.
Just checked on some aimbotters i reported like a couple months ago.
They're still not banned.
This will be my last report.
If he didn't get banned the screw reporting. -

ya right i send a report to there for ingame name must be close to 2 weeks ago nothing happend the person still playing with that name. -
Sense that reporting does little good...
My two cents, for what it's worth, is this: Most players that would like to report simply do not, because it is viewed as more effort than it is worth. This is because 1) the procedure to report has for a long time been too time-consuming; and 2) people do not believe that hackers are banned even if they are reported.
This stream-lined approach is a great idea, and long overdue. I'm optimistic that it will improve results.
There is no perfect way to eliminate hacks. This is just the nature of information systems: where there is a will, there is a way to exploit. I don't think anyone would dispute that point. So it seems to me that the most effective way to stop hacks - and to show we players that you really want to stop the hacks - is to be vigilant about patching known hacks.
I understand that constant patching consumes a lot of resources, but I believe it is in z8's best interest to allocate those resources. The bottom line is simple: Players leave crossfire because of hackers. For every player you lose, you miss out on that much income. This game is a cash-cow, and I know you can afford to do this right.
Thanks for reading!

so when are the admins going to stop being half hearted about hacker account bans and start banning the IP address instead, its harder to get back on when you cant use alternate email addy's from the same IP. That would be a more usefull deterrent as the average hacker doesnt seem to bother about stats and rankings, they just want to run around being invincible and dont seem to care how it spoils a really good game for everyone else.

how many hacker reports do you guys get a week? I believe you should start a priority system where the reporter must put the kind of hack they accuse a player of in the head title. Ex. 1 shot hack, wall hack, aimbot..etc. That being said, all 1 shot or aimbot hack reports can be looked into immediately since it's easier to detect in a replay if im not wrong and the player can be banned no questions.
Just a suggestion since its been weeks since an obvious high ranked 1 shot hacker in a beta scrim I reported has still not been looked at (megaupload download count). He also changed his IGN so can you guys still figure out the account if hackers do that? -
it always says "You have turned off private messages. You may not send private messages until you turn them on by editing your options."
i tryed to edit it but nothing happen
..............
User CP > Edit Options > Messaging & Notification > Private Messaging > Check the "Enable Private Messaging" box > Save Changes
I think you need the player's exact IGN and multiple screenshots of what the player's insult/offensive remark.how to report insulting ppl?Glassminer wrote: »so when are the admins going to stop being half hearted about hacker account bans and start banning the IP address instead, its harder to get back on when you cant use alternate email addy's from the same IP. ikr?;( but i know a few people who haz IP changer. but i believe this is can dramatically reduce the number of hackers.
I have a suggestion ;o
Can the replay/screenshot report be like the old one?? like we can upload it directly from the computer;[ remember that? anyone remember those times? support plox? ty;] i think it's easier, esp now that you have an account specifically for reporting... just saying
