CF Crashing My Comp.
Well sure, I know my computer is way outdated, and is hardly competent.
But I was happy with 20-35 FPS, and steady ping.
I can leave my computer on for weeks flat, and troll 10 threads at once.
But CF crashes my computer after about 20 minutes ingame - in a match or in lobby.
Crash as in, total power off. I can turn the computer back on right away and use it normally, but if I try to CF again, it's another crash in the 20 or so.
Would anyone have a solution? I don't have the funds to purchase a new computer for gaming. Worse scenario, I'll system restore or reinstall Windows.
And probs should be in Q&A, but honestly who goes to that forum?

I don't need you to correct me. I say what I mean to say. CF is crashing my computer.CF wasnt crash your computer, your computer crashes CF.
I understand. However, I've been running CF without an issue on this very computer for over half a year. It only started crashing in the past week or so. I even ran CnC 4 Beta, and while it didn't run very smoothly at all, it did not crash my computer. It may have to do with your cpu over heating...The game runs your procceser very hard.A new computer should be and is the best option...
I do know my computer has had previous issues with cooling, as it used to crash about once a month (keep in mind I didn't turn in off once throughout the month) due to overheating. This might be wear and tear, but nothing else seems to be affected...
To all the posts, I already said I don't have the funds to buy a new comp. Please L2Read...but thanks for at least bumping.
I have an alternative laptop, about 1 year old. When I purchased it, it was advertised as a gaming laptop. Ingame, it used to give me unsteady ping - 200 to 700, while my good old computer gave me 180 constant. I tried it today, and the ping is somewhat stabilised. But I get 12 frames per second.
On FPS, I'm going to rant. Why do many people lie about their FPS ingame? I see stupid SPOPs running around bursting, then when they die claim they have 8 FPS. You can't even burst with 8 FPS. The time between you clicking and the bullet coming out is too long to effectively burst / aim. -

Note this thread was 2 months old, some flamer who loves me bumped it.Conceptdash wrote: »Your registry is probably corrupted. Try cleaning out your registry and see if it helps. Although I don't know how you would want to play with 20-35 fps, let alone 180 ping.
180 is manageable, 270 in Clan server isn't. I have a better computer now, but it ping spikes. *Sigh -

I think you dont understand. I dont need you to correct me. I say what I mean to say. Youc computer is crashing CrossFire, isnt CrossFire crashing your computer. -

CrossFire overworks my CPU, causing my computer to crash.
CF does not crash. The whole computer does.
The forums don't need your arrogance.
