Internet Disconnecting

So, my internet is fine and it appears to be working most of the time.
Whenever I log on to play crossfire within a couple minutes my internet dies out and my modem starts blinking and I get d/ced. This has never happened before the patch, it has only happened after. My internet works fine when I'm browsing the net and on msn and what not, typical teenager stuff.

Any ideas?

    A modem will not simply shut down because of the actions of a piece of software. I used to have similar problems with my cable internet service, but it was due to an underpowered signal reaching my modem. To be safe I would recommend contacting your ISP, as they should be able to monitor signal strength and find where the problem is.
