How to delete the file "Fire In the Hole"? cuz its geting really annoying!

I wish. The file is stored server side, along with some other sounds (gun noises, breath, etc) because someone could make breath louder or gun noises easier to detect I.E. silenced guns.

You can go to:

My Computer ----► C Drive ----► Program Files ----► Z8Games ----► CrossFire ----► UNI ----►

There should be a file in there for sounds. I dont know if you can delete it but i know you can replace it and just rename the new file with that of the existing.

Yeah, but ghost breath and gun firing noises are not stored on the client.

unfortunately you cant change it... they really need to make it so you can though...

here I am trying to listen to ghost breath... then BAM i hear FIRE IN THE HOLE!! FIRE IN THE HOLE!! FIRE IN THE HOLE!!! FIRE IN THE HOLE!!...

then its quiet again...FLASH GRENADE!!!! SMOKING GRENADE!!!.... yes it gets realling irritating

Not this sound actually... you can change the radio messages and the kill sounds I think, but yeah the breath and gun sounds can't be changed.

Hi,

Been playing about a week and already I'm ready to strangle the next person that yells out 'fire in the hole'. Hearing someone pull the pin should be all the heads up we need. Some people carry mutliple nads and this phrase doesn't take long at all to wear thin.

They really do need to give us the option to mute certain sounds.

Before I played CF, it was my 2 cousins playing it, and all they did was TDM Egypt. All I ever heard was "fire in the hole" every 5 seconds. We (everyone that could hear them) eventually got mad and told them to turn the volume off or get headphones. I don't even notice it now, 8 months later...

i feel you, other day i was playing lab on GR, i rushed to A, while the rest of the team scattered around the map, but no where near A. i shift by the ramp on A and heard a slight breath. after that all i heard was FIRE IN THE HOLE FIRE IN THE HOLE FIRE IN THE HOLE SMOKING GERNADE KEEP GOING AND STAY STRONG TEAM...... then i got shoveled frm behind,

My wife told me it was to get people addicted(brainwash) to the game. Didn't take her long to tell me to put my headphones on.

Personally if there was a sound that was going to 'hook' me it would be 'headshot'

I just make a room, wait till ghosts come, kick all GR, make it unable to join and start it up.
