Any idea how my ping dropped?
No idea where this thread should go...
My ping was 100 for about 6 months, then it was randomly switching from 100 to 80 and back to 100. Now it just sits at 80, and I love it. But... Why?
Is there a specific reason as to why my ping dropped all of a sudden? Everyone else's ping is rising, and mine dropped. I feel special. Internet connection is still the same.
Oh and thanx Z8 games. I love my ping you got me for X-Mas. It's perfect =D

Lol my ping dropped from 150 to 140, don't really see the difference though

Could be the isp did some maintanence on it's connection or something. My Isp does that stuff all the time, usually during night hours they are fixing, so my ping may go up 20-30+ -

Maybe it was changes your ISP made?

And hmm never thought of that. Could be. I figured I would have to change the internet or somehting for it to drop. Thanx.

Like I said before:
With in the last 3-6 months 60% of Z8Games player's ping has been increased by 10-40. I know players that were 100 ping a few months ago and now they are 130+ ping. These guys did not change there I.S.P and did not change anything with there computer. So the only people to blame is Greedy Z8Games. That is my so many players are leaving this game and the old players are hardly active. The game is going down the drain, slowly but surely, if Z8Games dont change there ways.
On the other hand, some players pings were unaffected. I am in canada and i have a low ping and some guys i know in the U.S.A were unaffected as well. But those players in the U.K and surrounding areas are have a horrible ping problem.
I have been playing C.F for little over a year now and with in the last six months i have seen 60% of player ping increase. If i were to enter a room, 40% of players have 150+ ping, 25% have 200+ ping and 25% has 50 to 150 ping. Six months ago this high ping rate was not even possible.
So what do you think? Is it the players fault or Z8Games?

It's just all the new features.
For example,
You patch the game, but included into the patch you throw in more features. More features, more bugs. More features also equals more things to load=more lag.
New spop and gsg9 characters, axes and shovels, new maps... it all comes into play. -

I am playing less. But it is no fault of the game. My class schedule is more hectic, classes ar emore difficult and i'm studying more often, i'm looking for a job everyday. I still love GM just as much as I did 4 months ago. You do have a point don't get me wrong. I'm tired of entering a 16 man rom and being the only player under 130 ping... But... It's not the end of the world. I'm tired of the empty promises, i'm tired of GM's replying to my hacker reports claiming the hacker will be banned, only to see the hacker never get banned. And have thge GM say "i dont know why he wasn't banned"... A lot of things annoy me. But It isnt the end of the world -
I used to play with all my friends who had less then 100 pings while i'd be the 150 pinger. Heck even Bloodhawka would play with us and he is aussie and has 250 ping.( Used to be 230 -_-) We'd all play together in G.M. and I wouldn't experience any lag at all. No one tanked, no one lagged. It was pure fun I tell you that.
