N00b or not?
I'm not a n00b to fps games, but am to crossfire. Just want to ask the forum thing or 2 about gameplay... is it just me, or is this game headshot heavy? Several times now I have opened up 2 clips of ammo into an opponents heart with no result...
What is going on there? Are these players who have bought body armour using Z points, or is this game just totally headshot focused? I pwned on CoD:MW1, but sometimes got a little ****ed that a knife slash to the little toe would kill you in one.... but this just seems even sillier.... 60+ bullets in an opponents heart and they still keep coming at you.... wtf am I missing here?
Is there any reason to aim at anything other than the head?
Sometimes I really miss some of the old concepts that never got re-used.... remember being shot in the leg in op-flashpoint?... would slow you down considerably... being shot in both and you're pretty much crippled.
Other than that, the small splash damage for the grenades is unrealistic, but works well for the game environment and level sizes - so it is well balanced. I'm just not sure about the balance for body damage.... surely the heart and lungs should be near enough the same as head in fatality.....
At the moment I'm running at pretty much equal deaths to kills ratio, but so many have escaped with their impenetrable chests....
Just seems to me a bit crazy where punks and noobs charge in, you blast them with a full clip, and they survive....
Some advice from the experienced members please. Is it a headshot only game?

This game is all about reflex and speed!
I dont know what your Ping is or your fps but maybe you lagg. It has a huge effect on how much bullet you shoot on someone before killing it.
But 1 thing is sure, this game is HS madness. You get hs really often.
Sure, some people have armor, but pros just got skills, that make them harder to kill!
Try rookie server to start and learn more about game, you will master this game in short lapse of time.
But rememeber, noobs stay noobs, and you will always get noobs in a game. So dont let yourself down with some noob tanker or laggers or w/e.

Cheers guys. I'm guessing it must be a lag thing. I'm in China, and seem to be playing against people in Europe. Maybe the English version automatically puts me into a group with Europeans or Americans. Problem is, if I dl the Chinese version all the text will be in Chinese...
Oh well... I'll persist and get used to it... it'll be like going back to the old days of playing the UT tactical ops mod on dial up. Bad ping was a bit of a handicap, but you can get used to it.... just aim for where they are going to be in several seconds ;-)
Thanks again -

Around 1/3 of my kills are HS in my 4 accs. and I almost never go for the head on purpose, maybe I have the habit and do it unconsciously, don't know...
It doesn't look very random... the head must be below 25% of the total body volume, lol. -
Just got back from a session... and I can confirm that it was indeed lag. Noticed that if I play before 1am, then in over half the servers I'm running at over 400 ping. After 1am it drops to around 200... good enough to score 2nd or 3rd place in every match (there's always someone with a silly amount of kills who takes MVP)
Now my only problem is GP's.... *sigh*.... after wasting my first (free) bunch of Gp's I find that I'm going to be stuck with the damn M16 for god knows how long. That is probably the main thing that they need to change... Gp's are just too hard to come by, especially seeing as there are glitches with the promotion system and you don't get the Gp's you're supposed to.... where did my 10,000 for sergeant go??? :'(
Make Gp's easier to get, and offer more incentives to purchase Zp's. It's quite simple. By making it so difficult to get new weapons, they will alienate players who may have ended up purchasing Zp's.
