I think it has to do with leaving games and Tking your team with grenades. Not entirely sure though.

What is desertation, and does it have to do with leaving games?
And how do you imrpove it?

You can't improve your desertions. They'll always be with you.
Leaving one game = one desertion.

Desertion is when you leave a game early. when you hit esc then click quit it comes of with this message : are you sure you want to leave? there will be a penalty if you do. If you press Okay then you will have a desertion added to your record and sometimes it will take away some experience for that day/play time.

Not entirely true. My clan mate has more desertions/teamkills than me but he has Good honor and I have Average honor.

I think the number of times you've been kicked might have something to do with it. Who knows.

Desertion is a ratio of games left to total games played. The only way to improve that is by playing more games all the way through.

I have 812 desertions....which 90% were disconnections by the server, internet, mars aligning with jupiter etc etc....how can a DC be a desertion if you have no control over it?? very rarely would I leave a game in the middle of playing definatly not 812 times....I think the honor rating is unfair.

I had good honor till a friend played on my account and got my desertions up.
I pretty much don't care now, haha.
