Are suggestions even worth it?

I see allot of people post suggestions to the game and what not,but is there a point to them?Has there ever been a suggestion to the game and been put in?Excluding maybe bugs,glitches,and hack patching.

I find it useless to suggest new material to the game when there is maybe not even a chance of it being actually put in the game.

Maybe in advanced version suggestions are worth while,but here it seems pointless.
