Ping Spikes

Does anyone know how I can fix my ping spikes? I honestly don't think it's Crossfire itself because I go into the game with a 40 or so ping and then it shoots up to like 300 when I am trying to kill folks.

Well your ping could be affected by what you run on your computer and also if anyone is on the network using the internet. Maybe you have crap for luck and everytime you go to kill someone there is a huge lagg on your net haha! Good luck but close all programs and check to see if your on a network that there isnt anyone hogging it all up. I go into a game with a ping of 250 and then it goes way down to normal

just the game getting warmed up i suppose.

It's definitely not a network issue on my end specifically. A simple tracert proves this but I am having a problem SOMEWHERE in the tracert and I have no idea what or where it is.

Try hooking ur comp with an ethernet cable, and FYI a spike like that is nothing to worry about, jeez i have to put up with being 250+ normally because i live in Australia and if i spike it goes into the thousands.

Yes, I have had the same issue. I know my problem is not network because I am on an insanely fast network that we only share to about 20 people for the purpose of keeping our download speeds up. This is a very recent problem and Ive seen it spike up to >1000 for very brief moments.
