Ping spiking

Hai dudes.

Nowadays I'm experiencing a high raise of my ping from ~151 to ~250. I would like to know if someone can help me solving this problem.

- I have a Wireless 12MB connection.
- My modem is a D-Link.
- I live in an apartment.
- I don't have any torrents/emules/limewires on.
- My game has been downloaded yesterday.
- I have formated my PC yesterday.
- I live in Portugal.

Note: I already used Wireless and the D-Link modem when I had ~151 ping.

From 5 p.m. to the day after. In the morning my ping is normal.

Try just connecting your computer to the modem instead of using wireless. And is anyone using your internet?

i live in portugal too and i don't use wireless to play... i use my PC not my laptop... i use a normal internet with cable and i get spiking to 250 every days from 9p.m to 11.30 p.m.

i ain't downloading nothing when i'm playing because if i was i had a ping with 1000 or more

so whats wrong ?

use gamebooster
plug ur rounter directly to ur computer(wifi generates lag spikes)

Same happens to me. But this doesn't happen to all portuguese. Oh well just play MM and you get exp and gp for doing nothing

i have 2 programes to bust my games, to lower my ping and to increase my fps xD

yeah my ping is bad now. I don't know why I spike, possibly my dad watching hd olympics but it never was this high. I have 52-70 usually and now I spike to like 500-2000

Its the Cf servers, they cant take the load at peaktimes, also wireless wont help you, ethernet cables are around 5 euros

im using wireless and my ping always stay at 30-40, ping only goes up depending how many people are using wireless with you and it also depends how many windows on the internet they have on, same goes for download, downloads make pings go up by 100-200

You guys don't have read the Note. When ping was "normal" i already used Wireless.

tens o mesmo problema k eu, uso wireless, e de manha e um pouco a ****e o ping esta bom, apartir de uma certa hora sobe ate 250. Acho k a partir das 17:00 o ping começa a subir ate as 12:00 depois volta ao normal....

In english:

U have the same problem as me, i also use wireless. In the morning and a lil bit after lunch my ping it's allright, then it raises like crazy to 250, till midnight, after that it goes back to normal.
