We have no plans for taking the server down however.
Nice Explanation. I'm very informed now.
/sarcasm
Now without kidding. When will the server stop having those problems?
"Golden Age of Crossfire", I remember and I was there. I like the server anyways. -

The golden age to him is when Total Rising were top 10 on points, PEACE. -
Allow players to join throughout the game. Let it memorize who was in the server, if he crashes out...Maybe let him back in eh? Until they fix it, I'm always going to hate going into Beta server and taking that chance of crashing out.
yeah people should be allowed to join in game... i always for some reason get DC'ed during hafltime -
my only issue with beta is sense it is more competitive people seem to feel more of a need to hack.....
i am tired of playing some clan and ether rolling them in first half or just winning by a few then coming back and them toggeling their hacks and start one shotting and chamming their way to a shut out in the 2nd half... BS.... THE ONLY prob as far as the competitive issues of beta clan server is that people are noobs and will hack.........
THE FINAL product will be a working clan match request feature, a working league ladder and much more..... once that happens a more unified clan community should follow and perhaps, just maybe we can start weeding out the hacking clans. -

you're off topic. we don't particularly care about random Brazilian hacking clans. we want to be able to finish a scrim knowing that we will not dc instead of going to echo. i don't really remember the "golden age" per-say but i do remember dcing in beta not being an issue -
Bad system is bad.
This thread will attempt to explain how the implimentation of the Beta Clan Server ruined competitive gaming in CF.
First off, here's a little history.
I began playing CF during the CBT. When my team and I moved from SF to CF, there were only 4 competitive teams, those being Logic, Snow, MVP, and Colossal/Mute (Us). Soon after we began playing, teamEvolution started playing as well.
Even though the fanbase was so low at that time, it was a wonderful game. You could make a new account, sell your M700, and by an AWM or AK or M4 right off the bat. This meant clan tag accounts without any real wait.
Then OBT came around, and the player count started to increase. Suba introduced the Clan System. This did NOT have the beta server at this time. More teams opened up, such as Wolf Pack, 2K, iNeX, and most notably, x2. Mute disbanded, and I went to iNeX gaming, which is where I met DeadEye. iNeX turned into Pure eSports, consisting of xrLL, Maverick, Deadeye, Myself, and a few others. All this time more clans started to join. At this point, due to the large amount of teams that scrimmed, the competitive community developed an xFire list, to keep these teams in contact with one another.
Redemption, soon to be Skull Gaming/Area 51 began playing. IGL came around, which was pretty much a failure. A few major people got caught hacking, those being vN and xrLL. I left Pure and joined teamEvolution, which turned into iL Gaming. ESL had a tourny, in which 2 North American teams made it to the finals (iL and Area 51), so they spazzed and banned NA.
This was the best time for CF. The competitive community had a self supported system, with a stable scrim format, no ZP items to cause argument, no nerfed guns, and an xFire contact list with 190+ people on it.
And then the Beta Clan server came.
At first, this seemed like a decent thing. However, overtime, this was one of the main reasons, IMO, of the downfall of the competitive community (Along with the introduction of the many ZP items).
By creating a place that a clan could just sit and wait for a scrim, you completely removed the purpose of the xFire list. By removing the effort you needed to join the competitive community, you paved the way for scrub clans with no respect for the system. You also removed one of the major factors that was keeping the competitive community close.
This game became flooded with idiots who had no respect for anyone but themselves, who called hacker any time someone killed them.
You called the pubbing morons to come scrim.
I used to be able to scrim quality scrims 9 times out of 10, with no QQing whatsoever.
Now I get them 1 ever 20.
With the flood of bad clans, and by making the xFire list pointless, you divided the competitive community. Many people began leaving, and I don't blame them. Who wants to "scrim" clans that call hacks every half second?
Leave the competitive playing to the competitive community, and take down the Beta Clan Server. All you've done is **** **** up. -
Interesting opinion. However, is this thread requesting something or just simply stating facts? This thread will attempt to explain how the implimentation of the Beta Clan Server ruined competitive gaming in CF.

there are idiots everywhere. This game became flooded with idiots who had no respect for anyone but themselves, who called hacker any time someone killed them.
there are no working public hacks now thanks to xtrap, there will always be vip hacks. Many people began leaving, and I don't blame them. Who wants to "scrim" clans that call hacks every half second?
most games have vip hacks, just keep reporting. -

So? The idiots used to stay out of competitive play, Suba/Z8 let them in.MikeDaSpike wrote: »there are no working public hacks now thanks to xtrap, there will always be vip hacks.

That has nothing to do with my post. -
i agree the month or so that i played CF back in March, the community was compact and tight. this is why i can't wait for blackshot euro to launch. getting like 20+ NA players to scrim daily in private rooms. it will be close, like it was in blackshot garena. come if you want

not to mention most of the bp(zp here) will only be useful for exp items there -

Blackshot looks meh, too me. I don't see what all the hype is about. I think I'm playing 1.6 as my main after wogl.
