[Guide] eSports Mode

Join eSports Mode for a fully balanced competitive experience with no equipment gap. This Search & Destroy mode is built on official tournament rules, delivering a fair and standardized environment for all players.
What is eSports Mode?
eSports Mode is a competitive variant of Search & Destroy designed to replicate the official CrossFire Stars (CFS) tournament experience. Originally available only through the CFS tournament client, this mode brings professional-level competitive rules directly into the game.
This mode provides a completely fair and balanced environment by removing equipment advantages and restricting players to a standardized item pool.
Official CFS Tournament Rules
eSports Mode follows the same regulations used in international CFS competitions, including:
- Standardized weapons and equipment
- Tournament-approved character selection
- Official CFS map pool
- Competitive Search & Destroy ruleset
- 10-player matches (5 vs. 5)
Whether you enter through the Public Lobby or Custom Lobby, the match will automatically use the eSports Mode configuration.
Match Format - Regulation Rounds
- Matches are played in a Best-of-6 format.
- Teams switch sides after Round 5.
- The first team to reach 6 round wins is declared the winner.
If both teams are tied at 5:5, the match enters Overtime.
Golden Round
- If the score reaches 6:6, Golden Round is triggered.
- The first team to secure the 7th round wins the match.
This system ensures that close matches are decided through additional competitive play rather than ending in a draw.
eSports Mode Stats Overview
In eSports Mode, player statistics are tracked separately from standard game modes to ensure accurate competitive performance records.
Within the public lobby’s mode information panel, match records are displayed using the following metrics.

All values are automatically calculated from real in-game server data.
- Win Rate (%): Team-based overall win rate across Esports Mode matches.
- Kills: Total cumulative number of kills achieved.
- Matches: Total number of eSports Mode matches played.
- K/D Ratio: Kill-to-death ratio, calculated based on total kills and total deaths in eSports Mode.
- Headshot %: Percentage of kills that are headshots, measured against total kills in eSports Mode.
- ADR (Average Damage per Round): Represents the average damage dealt per round. [ADR = (Previous ADR × Previous rounds + Damage from current match) ÷ Total rounds]
This system provides a consistent performance overview focused on competitive gameplay, independent from other game modes.
Under "Recent Matches" find a Match Record Popup that displays detailed match records based on when the match was played.
This system allows players to review performance and match outcomes in detail for each recorded session.
eSports Storage
To ensure a level playing field, eSports Mode uses a separate storage system.
How It Works
Players can switch from their normal storage to the eSports storage through the Storage menu.

The eSports Storage includes:
- A complete set of Balance Weapons at your disposal
- A bag loadout exclusive to eSports Mode
- Limited character selections
- Restricted item options based on tournament regulations
Any weapons, characters, or items equipped in your regular inventory will not affect eSports Mode gameplay.
Event Pass Weapon Carryover
Some weapons obtained from the Event Pass Season 7 can also appear in eSports Mode Storage.
If you unlock select weapons through the Event Pass, a skinned version will be available in the eSports Mode. These versions are purely visual and do not include any additional perks or gameplay advantages, ensuring they remain fully balanced.
Why Play eSports Mode?
eSports Mode is ideal for players who want:
- Pure skill-based competition
- Tournament-style gameplay
- Balanced weapon selections
- Fair matches without equipment advantages
- Practice for competitive matches
Success in eSports Mode depends entirely on teamwork, strategy, communication, and skill.
Tips for New Players
- Learn the official competitive map pool and key strategic paths to the bombsites on each map.
- Master the Balance Weapons available in the eSports storage.
- Communicate constantly with your team. Focus on teamwork rather than individual plays.
With standardized equipment and official tournament rules, eSports Mode offers the closest experience to professional CrossFire competition available in-game.
