How Z8 can fix CrossFire

What Could Fix the Game?

1. Anti-Cheat System & Enforcement

The game urgently needs a new anti-cheat system backed by a dedicated moderation team. Anti-cheat logs and in-game reports should be actively reviewed and combined to issue HWID and IP bans where appropriate.

Additionally, Z8 Games should add a clear and visible “REPORT A HACKER” page on the official website. This page should include:

  • Text boxes for detailed reports

  • The ability to upload video evidence

  • A transparent confirmation system so players know their reports matter

2. In-Game Voice Communication

Other CrossFire versions already have fully functional in-game voice communication. Z8 Games should collaborate with those versions or license the required files to implement this feature. Voice comms are a basic competitive standard and would drastically improve teamwork and match quality.

3. Weapon Balance

Several newer weapons are either overpowered or poorly balanced, largely due to a flawed weapon statistics system.
These weapons should be nerfed or removed, as they negatively impact competitive integrity. The community is well aware of which weapons are the main offenders.

4. Server Location & Performance

Since the servers were moved to Germany, performance has noticeably declined.
High ping, instability, and frequent crashes were not issues when the servers were hosted in The Netherlands. While cost may be a factor, the current setup is harming gameplay and driving players away.

5. Ranked System Integrity

Ranked play is currently unplayable at higher ELOs due to a lack of active monitoring. Without constant oversight, ranked mode loses all credibility.

A solution:

  • Implement active observation for high-ranked matches

  • If no moderation is available, temporarily disable ranked play

  • Recruit moderators through official job applications, offering small financial rewards per successful ban

There are also loyal community members who would willingly help even without payment, simply to protect the game.

Conclusion

Z8 Games needs to prioritize its community over short-term profit. A healthier game means:

  • More active players

  • Better retention

  • And ultimately, more revenue

Key Investments Needed:

  • A new anti-cheat system and anti-cheat team

  • A ranked system moderation team (or a combined enforcement team)

  • In-game voice communication

  • Proper weapon balancing

  • Returning servers to The Netherlands for better stability

If the game truly reflects what the community wants, the long-term gains will far outweigh the costs.

The devs don’t want to implement an anticheat and ban people because once all the changes are implemented, nobody will play this game anymore. As long as cheaters keep spending money on this game, they won’t lift a finger. Every now and then they only ban the cheaters that everyone knows about, just to avoid too much negative publicity. I’m also convinced there are players who are friends with the devs, or even people who pay the devs to do whatever they want. In fact, the game is full of bot accounts that farm rank and kills.

Even today, I still don’t understand how people can play with cheats and macros and not get banned. It happened to me that I accidentally used a macro on my mouse that I had set up for another game it stayed in the mouse profile and I got my account banned, one from 15 years ago with hundreds of euros spent, with no way to unban it, all because of a mistake I made. Meanwhile, others keep using them without any bans. They’re unfair to players who make occasional mistakes and realize it, but lenient with cheaters and macro users who face no consequences... This is very sad.

The game needs to change direction completely for things to really change, and that’s something that will never happen.

  • Cant agree with u more Holomith123. New season, same **** like always. They even dont listen comunity about map pool in rankeds. You talk so much nonsense, because you absolutely have no clue.
They don't want to ban people? Grifter please. They ban people if you report them properly.
Boy this is so old and drawn out, it's a tale noone but the stupidest, little kids believe: "If you pay, you can cheat and you don't get banned". That's a load of horseraddish. People that pay get banned.
People that pay a lot get banned. Just because people you think cheat, because they play the game well and kill you are not getting banned, does not mean they cheat.
Hell, you oxymoron your entire sentence: "They never ban anyone until they ban someone". I can't believe you wrote that down and though: "Yup, I won't sound like a complete fool writing this"

And it goes even further. You self report that you cheated and got banned. Lmao. But others do not? Maybe, just maybe, put your fragile ego away: They do not cheat.
Try and git gud at the game instead of whining that everyone cheats and needs to be banned.
Or actually report people. Because I 100% know that you do jack to report cheaters. You know they don't cheat, you just want to tell this narrative.
