Message from Bruce
hey guys its bruce,
i've been ip banned from the forum now. As you all know yesterday i was banned for harassment of ladyshy when i made a post in the llod topic. (i wasn't attempting to harass her, just getting in the spirt of allod, which she then took the wrong way and banned me.)
on the 22nd i was banned by rex. This ban was overturned.
Ladyshy's ban was also overturned. Since the ban was overturned i made about 5 posts in the flockdraw topic and the "a wild bruce appears" topic. I then logged off and went to get my new cell phone and make the 3 hour drive home.
I was hardly using the forums up until the 21st of the month, as there had been not a whole lot going on and i was doing college and quite busy. But being up in mi for a week dog-sitting left me with little to do.
I guess yesterday after i got unbanned but before i got home the forums exploded with a lot of hate on ladyshy and people telling her to go kill herself etc. Somehow i got ip banned by saidin even though i was nowhere near the computer. Luck also got ip banned when he made a topic telling people to leave her alone.
I've been banned three times in the past week. I've never been banned before and i've been involved with this community for well over a year. I don't know for what possible reason i've been banned this time and if i can't get a solid answer then i suppose i'll move on.

The ban should be only a 3 day ban. Though I do not know why some people were banned. It'll be over soon. But I guess some people just hate people. We get used to it. And we'll see what happens. It was quickly done probably and should be a short ban.

The truth is sometimes people's words can really have an effect on people and nobody cared to think just what they were doing.
You crossed a line between flaming, having fun, and just downright nasty harassment. You know you don't like her you don't have to try to publicly humiliate her for your own self enjoyment. The things you and others said on the flockdraw too were... i have no comment for those. You all know who you are. And think if this is how you act when you try to get your way or don't like someone.... I wonder how you would act in real life
You should not be unbanned and you know why you were. -

Actually, multiple people were IP banned who did nothing.
Aero was IP banned AND in-game banned, and the only thing he did REMOTELY wrong was on ventrilo, so it doesn't even matter.
GreyCloak told him that it was a mistake, and that he would be unbanned as soon as Saidin got on. Aero changes his IP and makes an alt n the mean time, posts on the forums, AND GETS IP BANNED AGAIN.

I went in there, wrote my name a bunch of times, talked with someone and then left. And how would my actions on a website not at all related to z8 games have an effect on anything? Do you even think before you post or are you just her dog? -

Well me having been a mod before.... lets think what he should have done...
First off I want to say: There was so much hate going on its expected to be some unfair bans. But are we saying "unfair" in your eyes, or "unfair" for the GM's eyes.
Also keep this in mind. What Luck did was Ban Evasion to a degree. He got banned by a GM then he should take the proper steps AKA Support to retrieve his account. Not try to sidestep the system.
It may matter a bit differently if he truly was banned improperly but even then there is no excuse because he just broke a rule unto itself.
When a whole bunch of people think they can get away with this sort of thing, it affects everyone. The people who deserve it and don't deserve it. I'm not sure if my point is being understood here but the people who got involved with this and got carried away should not expect not to face the consequences of their actions.
And since so many people were involved... there would be others who were unjustly banned as well. But in making an alt to try to subvert their ban, that itself is breaking of a rule. -

I personally wasn't on the forums for this whole "Ladyshy" thing. But from what I've been told by others is that Bruce didn't really do anything and people got carried away. If these forums lose, LucK and Bruce it will be a much moar randy place for me.

You don't call what happened yesterday an Extreme Circumstance?
You don't? Even if you don't like her conduct as a MOD, do you really you think going around doing what was done was the appropriate way to handle things? -

Considering that they were told that the ban was overturned, they just didn't have the resources to deal with it atm, they should be allowed to make an alt to post.
I.E. When Styx was banned, and it didn't register that he was unbanned, and he was able to make an alt without incident, even when taking to multiple MODs and Saidin while on that alt. -

Yep. PMs were being ignored/not received. And it;s been proven in the past that the only way to get a serious response from the GMs about a MOD is to make a scene =\ -

Oh I see now. Thats WHY THAT PERSON WAS SO INSISTANT THAT I POST IN THE THREAD.
So let me see Hika, your plan must have been this:
Get Bruce to prove that he was in drawball by getting him to post in the thread.
Then, because there are no timestamps and no way of verifiying who wrote what, you go on a free for all and draw/write whatever nasty things you want, take screenshots, and boom, Bruce is banned.
You're not as clever as you think and if there was a fair and due legal process here that little bit of evidence would be tossed out >.> -

I would argue that a scene such as this affects the Entire community.
I wonder to myself how many people were dragged into it via vent. or xfire or msn by the people who actually were responsible for this mess.
Let me remind you it was not Amy but Bruce who started this entire debacle in the first place. She only reacted. Granted it could have been more composed but think if it were you in her place. I'm not so confident you would do anything different.
She mostly watched all this unfold, on the forums the flockdraw thing people telling her what was happening off forums... And she didn't start this.

I was on the sidelines for the whole thing, Saidin unbanned me and I didn't do a thing except apparently get set up by you and her (Since you say she was there too)

Did you see why she banned bruce for? No.
Ladyshy used her powers for personel purposes.

She started it when she abused her powers the first time.
Some people give second chances (I was reluctantly one of them.) Some people stay suspicious from that point on.
What happened here was someone pointing out, really, that they still didn't caare for her, GIVEN that first round. And instead of having become the more respectable MOD and having learned from her past mistakes, she effectively took the bait (The other MODs would have ignored it or silently slapped Bruce upside the head) and made more of a scene out of what initially was nothing, and fed the flames of irritation toward her all over again.
You can say it was Bruce that started it all you want. But it was past history that really caused all this. -

Actually it was not addressed (directly) to her!
Bruce/Denxi never said "Shy you moron!"
But never!
OFC Amy always thinks that people talk bad or good things about her and it should be only her ,our reason to discuss or what we discuss .
Maybe it was not her starting this BUT her behavior as a MOD.
Maybe people simply got sick of it?
Think form different angles not only Amy's point of view only cause she's your gf.
And maybe she deserved that .
And yet even if other attack she should have know to keep her feelings out of forums.
It is her job I'm also an in-game MOD they tried also to do this to me I simply kept my feelings for me or telling others in msn how bad I feel BUT NEVER insulting back or anything.
This is a MOD job , harmless job . She should not answer back the same way!

It was her reaction that escolated this but You sir, are the one who started it. You can choose to understand that or not, and I wont hold anything against you if you don't.
I'm talking to the CF players after all :rolleyes: Can't expect much reasoning there

Actually, I respect people like Greycloak and Deadeye more than most of the MODs here BECAUSE they tend not to deal with the usual moronic crap. And I'd wager most of the normals around here relatively agree with that.
But they actually MOD. They don't get into flame wars. They don't try to call out other MODs. They come, bring down the hammer, make a few cry, and swoop off to the next job. That's the difference.
